Replace lid after use and store out of reach of pets. Open containers may present a remote safety risk to unattended cats or dogs. Children can fall into bucket and drown. Keep children away from bucket with even a small amount of liquid. We want to remind those with suppressed immune systems and pregnant women that a parasite sometimes found in cat feces can cause toxoplasmosis. Please wash hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter. Encouraging your cat to use an indoor litter box, or properly disposing of outdoor cat feces, is beneficial to overall water quality. Please do not flush cat litter in toilets or dispose of it outdoors in gutters or storm drains. Used litter is not recommended for garden use. Product is filled by weight; some settling may occur.

Clumping in Every Tidy Piece

At the heart of Tidy's patented, one-of-a-kind litter is their exclusive bi-component system. Each and every 2-part granule is specifically made to absorb odor and liquids PLUS clump tight. Unlike litters that rely on some pieces to fight odors and others to clump, every single piece of Tidy litter does both. That's basically a 2 for 1, in every single granule.

Clumping in Every Tidy Piece

Absorbs odor and liquids

Creates tight clumping

Formula-specific odor-fighting agents

Masterful Odor Control

Even better? Each powerful piece has also been given a little extra custom odor-fighting power, depending on your favorite Tidy formula. These odor-fighting agents neutralize odors from solid and liquid waste, delivering the instant, long-lasting or multi-faceted freshness you need. Sounds pretty super.

Exclusive Bi-Component System

The Down Low on Low Dust

Tidy Cats works hard to bring you low-dust litters. Their litters have an anti-dust coating that forms a microscopic web-like structure that helps prevent tiny dust particles from escaping.

Dust & Tracking Control

The Down Low on Low Dust

Switching Litter

When switching to a new cat litter, be sure to do so gradually to help avoid any litter box issues. Start by cleaning the litter box completely, then fill it 2/3 with your old litter and 1/3 with the new. Slowly increase the amount of new litter over time. This allows your feline friend the time she needs to adjust to the new litter. Meow isn't that smart?

  • Works decently enough

I purchased this litter because I had previously tried the Tidy Cats Direct Disposable Litter Box with LightWeight Clumping Multiple Cat Litter and though I didn't like the box itself, I enjoyed the litter. I like how lightweight the litter is - it's very airy - but unfortunately that means a mess is easily made. I'm constantly sweeping the litter up. It clumps OK and is able to be scooped fairly well. However, this litter just doesn't last long at all. After a week, I'm itching to clean the entire litter box. I shouldn't have to worry about cleaning the entire thing that often. The litter doesn't do an amazing job at covering the smells from the litter box... it's just OK. I struggled with the container, honestly, and I ended up switching it over to another container that I had that is easier to hold and control how much litter comes out. I would buy this specific litter over some of the other Tidy Cats litter that I've tried. … more

  • Not worth any star. The bad reviews are real. Trust them.

I have't hated to clean the litter box until I stared to use this "lightweight" "performance clumping" litter. Lightweight, yes. Performance clumping, NO. It does NOT clump. My cat has never come out with his feet wet until this. Wet litter was kicked outside of the high-walled litter box and he got clay dust and sand on his feet tracking everywhere he went after using the litter box. And the odor... i have only smelled his poop before, never urine. And the dust when scooping out the waste... I never had the need to wear a mask until this product. I worry about the health of my kitty's and my lungs. Other than being light, this litter has nothing good to mention. This litter got to go.

  • Worst Cat Litter Ever

    By on

This is undoubtably the worst cat litter I have ever used. It does NOTHING for the odor and does not do a good job of clumping at all. I made a mistake by buying two tubs of Tidy Cats LightWeight and I will not even finish the first tub because it is so bad. I wanted to try Tidy Cats LightWeight because it was advertised as weighing less. I have two cats and two litter boxes which I cleaned out and disinfected before trying Tidy Cats. Within no time the litter started smelling and my cats did not like using their boxes. I informed Chewy about the failure of the cat litter so they would know could check that maybe it was a bad batch or something. I will never use it again.

  • Beat we have found yet

We have tried so many litters over the years and stayed away from clumping litter because our boys would turn it into cement. This has been a great litter for both Mom and babies. We have one Maine coon that has some issues with his walking and gets the litter stuck to the back of his legs but we just have to wash him up at night. We like the scent and it covers up their stinky-ness. With back issues the light weight litter is a back saver!

  • Sub-standard

I have been using Tidy Cat Light Weight since it hit the market. I have a limit on what I can lift so this seemed absolutely perfect for my needs. I have 2 elderly cats that are clean and tidy because I keep their litter boxes pristine. The last 2 purchases of this product have been a disaster. It does not control odor and the clumps are more like sludge. My older cat came to me with what looked like boots on, litter has clumped to her feet which soon spread all over the house. She will be 19 next month and up until yesterday had never has an actual bath! We had to soak her feet to remove the litter. I immediately went to the grocery store and bought new Tidy Cat. • Worst kitty litter ever for more than one reasons

Oh gosh where do I start with this litter. 1) odor control: this morning myself and my husband woke in our 3 storey house to be greeted by the smell of cat pee. We were both absolutely convinced the cats had made an accident somewhere upstairs, but after tracing and tracing around we discovered it was coming from the vents which were connected to the basement. Our house is HUGE and the fact that kitty pee is so strong two storeys above where the pee actually is says something about this litter. It doesn’t clump at all so this is most likely why it is not controlling the odor. 2) THE MESS: This is by far the worst issue of the litter. My cats will usually give me a sign when they want Oh gosh where do I start with this litter. 1) odor control: this morning myself and my husband woke in our 3 storey house to be greeted by the smell of cat pee. My cats will usually give me a sign when they want me to clean their trays, they will nudge me and give me the look which tells me I need to go down to the basement and clean their trays. They’ve been doing it daily since we have this litter, omg. I can’t even deal with the frustration of the mess. Due to the litter being “lightweight” the cats just throw the majority out of the tray. Our trays are in the basement so once it’s out of the tray it’s sooo hard to clean. The cats can’t help it because when they’re kicking the litter it’s just too light to stay in the box and so it flies everywhere. I’m not even over exadurating when I say that this has literally ruined my week. Due to the lengthy periods of time I’ve had to spend sweeping the litter from the basement floor. SO ANNOYING I CANT EVEN. What’s worse is because it doesn’t clump, the poop also flies out of the tray along with countless amounts of unused litter. The only benefit of this litter is the fact you can carry it home, but I’m sorry it doesn’t work. The concept of “light” litter is simply a gimick and in reality, simply doesn’t work. I am so frustrated about the amount of time I’ve wasted on this product throughout this week. I have two cats and litter isn’t the cheapest, hence why we’re getting through the box, but I can’t stress enough how much we WONT be buying this product again. The product gives me doubt in regards to ever buying a tidycats product again. … more

  • Kitty litter

    By on

I have used this litter since my cats were just kittens, they do fine with it. It's nice for me not to have to lift the heavy box getting it into the house. I made the mistake of buying the regular stuff once because it was a few dollars cheaper but suffered for the weight of it. It does track out of the box more than the regular stuff even in boxes with covers.

  • Such a blessing

While new to Chewy, I signed up for regular deliveries of food and litter for "my two boys," brother cats. Tidy cat litter has been great for me because of it's lighter weight. I cannot heft the regular litter contaners anymore. The Lightweight litter is excellent in absorbtion and ease of scooping up their "leavngs." Sherlock and Watson like the feel and neutral odor of the Lightweight litter and there are no accidents or refusals when using the litter. So happy with Tidy Cat Lightweight and Chewy. Thank you.

  • The worst litter I have ever used, period.

    By on

They should not be allowed to call this garbage litter, you would be better off using cornmeal or something. First, it does nothing for odor. Second, it does not clump wetness, turning into a slimy mess instead. Third, cats track it everywhere, your house will be covered in litter. After a few days, their enclosed litterbox was such a horrible mess that they started using the floor instead of having to go into their box. Never again.

  • Jury is still out...

I liked this because of the weight and the cats didn't have a problem with the changeover. I used to scoop often and refill as necessary but with this I have to scoop daily, refill and start new every week. I don't feel it controls the odor as well as the other Tidy Cats scoop litter.
