    So far, all good

This light litter is great to handle for Senior humans. (We got 8 lb jug). And, so far our three fur balls seem to love it...first day cuz they loved so much, they were scratching outside box in little piles, but soon got the hang of it being lighter. Scent is just at the point of being over whelming but doable. Clumps best of all litter we have used and we have used every brand out there from store brand to the name brands. It looks like we will use almost 3 jugs for the three cats in one week. We clean 2 litter boxes, twice to three times per day. The 14 days will not work for us, because of the three kitties, but it might for one cat. … more

    Packaging is horrendous

The only reason I gave this two stars instead of one is because the litter itself is good (worth 4 stars on its own). I am disabled, including a bad back. I have a multi-cat household. I am disabled, including a bad back. I have a multi-cat household. This packaging is the most user-unfriendly I've ever seen. I only bought this in a box because you simply cannot get the jugs anymore. The jugs were great: 8 1/2 pounds, easy to pick up and pour directly into the litterbox. This box is a disaster. As soon as I open the handholds, the cats can get their paws in and tear through the plastic bag. The bag is advertised as having perforations to open it, but there are no perfs and I have to cut the bag open. Then, I have to take the bag out of the box or it will slip out. Dispensing from this bag potentially means a huge mess if I lose control of the bag. The bag weighs 17 pounds, making it very stressful on my back to handle. It's a good thing I have pails left over from when litter came in pails. I have to dispense the entire bag, because the box doesn't seal, meaning the cats will have a field day and I'll have a huge mess of litter. Once I am done, my back is wrecked. The bag is *not* recyclable, unlike the jugs. This is nothing but corporate greenwashing hogwash that is actively hostile to customers. Unfortunately, I have no choice but to purchase the boxes, since it is impossible to get lightweight litter in jugs anymore. … more
