No odor or dust - but tracks a lot
I’ve been looking for a new cat litter ever since Yesterday’s News was discontinued. I needed a product that could control odor, wouldn’t aggravate my cat’s asthma, and could hold up to the litter box activities of two cats. Oh, and the cats had to find the texture agreeable.
Miraculously, 8 different litters later, this one is the closest I’ve come to perfect. The odor control is excellent- I don’t smell anything, and there’s no perfumey cover up. The clumping is quite good. My asthmatic kitty isn’t bothered at all. And with regular scooping, the litter’s doing just fine for them both.
One quibble: like most litters, this stuff tracks a lot. But I’ve never found one that lives up to the “low tracking” claim.

40 lb Charcoal Tidy Cat Litter in a box
Not precisely the way I would choose to spend my Saturday, but...that is what I got.
1/3 of that bag spilling out of the undamaged boxes it was shipped in, through the cracks it found, onto my floor. What a mess!
LOL....good thing I had an old plastic Tidy cat jug to pour what was left of the bag into.
I do so love the charcoal, that neutralizes the urine odor with no par-fume added...but...I am questioning the facilities (of Tidy cats) manufacturing ethics.
Some tape would have went a long way.

Great Litter
This is my favorite natural litter. Cat seems to like it too. Clumps well. Does have dust when empties into litter pan and when putting into trash can. Beware comes in a three bag box. My last order two of the bags were already opened!! Can't say if it happened at Chewy or at shipper. Wrote to notify customer service. Disappointed! At this point I have NOT heard from customer service.

thank goodness!
no doubt my two giant cats would be okay with whatever litter i get for them. but the stores locally now carry ALL brands of litter in hideous unrecyclable plastic pails and jugs. thank goodness for Chewy! i can get this litter in recyclable paper bags and it comes in a big (heavy!) cardboard box. when i get two boxes of it at a time, there's no shipping charge (not an inconsiderable factor, given the weight). thanks Chewy, for helping me stay free of dumping more plastic into the world!

No litter is perfect
I've been trying different litters. The clumping clay is relatively easy to maintain but heavy, the pine stuff is dusty, I have a client using crystals in a regular and automatic tray. Really, all litters or systems are great until the cats get involved. Right now I'm using this litter mixed with the remaining pine dust. I like the packaging of this litter. It's easier for me to bring out a new bag (I'm a white-haired old lady). Unscented and no strange blue bits in the mix. It clumps. It's fine so easy on the cats paws; but not so fine that it floats in the air when disturbed. This may be the litter I stay with for our two energetic boys.

Works As Advertised!
I've been using various low-dust litters for my crew of 4. Unfortunately, with the warmer & more humid weather arriving they aren't doing such a great job, particularly with odor. This Tidy Cat Strong Unscented seems to be resolving the problem. It forms solid lumps fast. The compact bags within the carton are easy to handle. The only downside is that there is a little dust; I don't know how you can avoid that with a clay litter, so I consider it a minor issue. All 4 cats took to it right away.
Not dust free
I've tried many cat litters over the years and I currently have four cats and this one just did not stand up to the test. It was very dusty and after a week smelled pretty bad (that is with me scooping the boxes everyday, sometimes more than that) it did clump nice and didn't track as bad as some others we've tried so that was a plus I guess and I liked the paper bags they came in.
Best clumping litter I've found so far.
Compared to other clumping litter I've used, this one doesn't have the dust, comes in paper instead of plastic, scoops easier, and doesn't allow ammonia build up as much as others. A little more $$$, but worth it!
It’s kitty litter
I buy this because there is no plastic jug or bucket to “recycle.” The box & the individual bags are all paper, sturdy but paper. I also buy this because I can carry the individual bags upstairs more easily. Product works well, clumps hard & quickly, cats don’t object. It is a little dusty, but it’s kitty litter. What are you gonna do?

best kept secret
The best of all available litter varieties! Works better for odor control than anything “scented,” and the small bags mean we can open the box on the porch and not kill ourselves carrying them inside. The box also has a funny cat photo frame on it.
