Heaven sent and Heavenly Scented
So every cats makeup is different we all know what works for one doesn’t necessarily work for another. I took in a stray about a year ago and although fixed she has the strongest feral cat ammonia urine smell possible. Cleaning her box is brutal. It’s so strong it will not clump so there’s no scooping I am constantly dumping. Costing me money and my sanity. I quit using lightweight a long time ago because my cats could throw it twice as far and yes some older cats I had would get it stuck to them. I was desperate and did all the research and contacted Purina and they recommended trying it again just in her box. Sure enough!!! It clumps and covers the feral ammonia smell. FINALLY! Xoxoxo to Purina and Chewy! If you are interested, for my other cats I use to swear by the tidy cat tub with the purple lid that wasn’t lightweight and called dual power. It was discontinued and Purina recommended the black label box…: Tidy Cats® Tidy Max™ 4-In-1 Strength Clumping Cat Litter. Been using it since.
Terrible, at least for my cats
When this litter meets with cat urine it just makes a mud puddle that sticks to everything like mortar. Lightweight also sticks to my Maine Coon’s fur when he comes out of the litter box like styrofoam pellets. Just does not work for my cats.
messy messy
I don’t know what happened with this litter I feel like they changed the formula. I’ve used it before and didn’t have this problem. My cats track it so much it’s all over the house. It is so dusty that I have to hold my breath I can’t even imagine how my cats can sit there and cover their stuff. It is alright at odor control but I just can’t deal with the tracking and dust.
Best litter
I've tried everything. Tidy Cats Lightweight is the best of all. It's easy to scoop, the scent is light & the cats like it.
Worst litter ever
This is literally the worst cat litter I have ever used. I just cleaned the litter box yesterday day and my room smells like ammonia and the litter is that is clumping sticks to my cats paws and they track dirty, used litter all over my bed and house. Don't waste your money on this trash, I would use my normal tidy cats multicast clumping litter but chewy seems to be out of stock all the time. Definitely not a good litter!
Litter Soup
One star for lightweight. That’s where the pro list begins and ends. Get the broom, the vacuum, and the mop ready to clean up the ridiculous amount of mess that this type of litter creates ALL OVER YOUR HOUSE. You’ll probably need paper towels and a good cleaner to wipe down your walls as well. Once your cat urinates in this litter, it puddles into a little pool of urine soup for your cat to get all over their hind (and sometimes front) legs. They will then jump out and shake the soup off of their legs (can’t blame them, eww). Your walls will now have Jackson Pollock litter art. Lucky you! Then you can wipe down/launder every surface in your home that your cat has left little gray mud prints on after their box visit (including, but not limited to: dining room chairs, the fabric sofas, your bed, their bed, the dogs bed, and don’t forget the kitchen counter- “get down!”). With seemingly all lightweight litters, you trade the weight for the tracking. The granules tracked around your home will crunch into little powder sand when stepped on. It’s also super dusty and you should wear your mask while sifting through the “clumps” (crumbles), as the slightest agitation will make a fairly large cloud. If you’re into this variety of self torment, this litter would be a good choice. *(Photo shows example of the soup splatter in the box- I’ve already cleaned the walls of my house).
Good smelling cat litter
For the first time ever, I walked into a room where a kitty litter box was, and I thought ‘what is that faint flowery smell ?’ . After looking for a couple of seconds, I realized it was the new kitty litter I had changed to this month. It was an accident that I got this particular litter, as the usual one was temporarily out of stock. Now I know I should have changed a long time ago !!!!
Does not control odor
Used for two cats and we were truly disappointed at the odor. Even scooping every day, the odor was unbearable.

This is horrible I reached out to chewy to try to return but they did not respond.
Good Lightweight Litter
This is the best Lightweight Litter I have tried. It is clean and has a nice, not overpowering scent. It doesn't clump tightly like regular clay litter but, better than others I have tried. I am assuming that the clumping is a trade off for being lightweight.
