    Meaty, tasty wet food!

By puppynugget on Nov 12, 2017

My 2 male cats love wet food in general, but I try to give them a high quality wet food with actual meat, and not much else. I also add extra water with wet food, as I feed kibble primarily. My favorite wet foods are ones with big pieces of meat and novelty meats and Tiki Cat After Dark hit the nail My 2 male cats love wet food in general, but I try to give them a high quality wet food with actual meat, and not much else. Mostly Water

By Leeroy on Oct 5, 2017

My cats gobbled this up! It was really neat getting to see actual organs and quail eggs in the can and the cats loved it. However, I don't think I will be purchasing this again due to the fact that the can is mostly broth. • 11 Cats = APPROVE!

We have 11 cats (perks of volunteering with a local cat rescue!). So, of course, finding a treat that everyone enjoys can be difficult in our house. Well, the TikiCat After Dark was a HUGE hit! The cans are small cans so the package itself does NOT last long for us. However, the treat is quickly gobbled up by everyone - no matter the flavor. What I like about these, compared to other wet cat food products, is that there is a lot of juice in the can. Because cats are known to not drink enough water, wet canned food helps them with staying hydrated. As a pet parent, I love the concept of this brand, plus, these cans are grain-free. For the cats, well, it was no surprise that they seriously enjoy the flavor of these. The Chicken and Quail Egg even had a chunk of egg in it - which was a hit to them! From the moment the can top is popped, you may as well consider these cans gone. Seriously, well worth it! Plus, the adorable design on the can doesn't hurt either! … more

  • She likes it!

My cat Lucy has a bit of a weight problem despite feeding a low calorie kibble. She is a kibble cat, so I don't see giving up on dry food for her so the other option was changing out the Friskies Shreds. Lucy doesn't like most regular wet foods and given cats are carnivores, I still wanted her to have some wet food in her diet. Almost all canned cat foods have some carbs in them, but this one has 0. Seems to me that reducing her carbs with a high quality food would be a good approach to take. While it's only been a couple of weeks, visible weight loss isn't evident yet, but she does like the food (along with the flavors in another variety pack of this brand). Almost all of these contain some organ meat, which makes sense IMO. I give her 1/2 can 2x day and she pretty much cleans it up in 2 attempts. I'm very impressed with the high quality (it is clear to see it is real meat/organs) and even more pleased at how much she likes all the flavors in this pack. Yes there is quite a bit of liquid, but it still packs more protein in each can than just about any other canned food out there. … more

  • My cats loved this

We were sent this for an honest review. I think the least favorite might have been the chicken and beef, but the girls ate anything I gave them (they are picky) and the boys always drank the broth happily. I'm waiting for this item to come back in stock. Attached is an image of the chicken and quail egg. Sorry, the lighting is uneven.

  • My kitties eat this up

    By on

My little ones love this. I was a bit surprised at first by the amount of broth, but the meat is super high quality. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone! It only took about 2-3 days for them to get accustomed to the new taste, and by the end of the week they were begging for more of the Tiki Cat and less of their previous food. I've found myself feeding the local ferals their other cans of food to make space for more Tiki Cat! 10/10 amazing product (wait until you see the actual quail eggs in one of the cans).

  • Tiki Cat satisfies my cats again!

    By on

I previously purchased Tiki Cat's Queen Emma and King Kamehameha variety packs and my cats loved both. Tried the After Dark and they like this just as much! Like a few other reviewers mentioned, the After Dark varieties are very broth-y. My cats didn't mind since they're used to a little bit of water being added to their wet food anyway. The After Dark varieties also seem to be just a little greasier than the others. The meaty bits look great and my cats gobbled it all up, so no complaints here!

  • he loves it!

i rolled the dice and tried this variety pack on my ravenous cat beast. he's not a picky eater at all, but showed me he loves it- working at his bowl until it was completely clean in a way that i haven't seen him do with other foods. he's calorie and carb controlled, so this was a great option that included organ meats for additional vitamins. these will definitely be in our regular rotation!

  • high quality

    By on

This line is a good choice for our cat who is mostly outdoors and eats on his own. He is very fussy about commercial foods. He never consistently eats anything we offer and i never know when he really is hungry. These Tiki products meet our requirement of containing real meats that are not processed bits or flakes and there is plenty of gravy which our cat insists on. I recommend this line highly but be prepared to have a spoiled pet as other foods will pale in comparison. We also have success with Whiskas Purrfectly Chicken

  • A huge hit with my cats

    By on

I try to feed by cats a varied, high quality diet and Tiki Cat is a brand my boys enjoy. However, I had never tried the After Dark variety and read mixed reviews about it. Despite that fact I decided to give it a try, and boy am I glad I did. Both of my cats devour every flavor in this pack. As some customers have mentioned, it's very watery and has chunks of meat. It has fresh sustainably Sourced Ingredients that are GMO and Gluten Free. I also like that it's hand packed in human grade facilities, and is Grain Free. Definitely worth trying for the picky felines in your life.

  • Lot's of moisture...

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

The cat we recently "rescued" was previously fed mostly dry food. We have her on wet food and are trying different high-quality brands and recipes. This is a hit with our cat. While cats don't always get excited about drinking plain water, they do seem to enjoy meat/fish juices. The ingredients are recognizable (well maybe not the quail eggs) as chicken, hearts, etc., and are in a lot of juice (not thickened gravy). Our cat laps this stuff up and eats everything in the bowl. We'll be buying more of this selection.
