I am a raw feeder but always looking for a good quality can food to feed from time to time or if I am away and someone else is feeding my cats. I love the consistency of this food and it has a lot of water in it. Water in a cats food is so important. Plus my cats love this food as much a they love raw. Cats are very picky and mine tend to not much care for most other can food. Not this one they gobble it all up. As A raw feeder I am very picky about ingredients. I am comfortable feeding tiki cat and it's well worth the money.

  • Unusual Texture

Two out of three cats really liked this food. The other cat prefers pate food and wouldn't eat it. Also, I have a cat that enjoys using his paws when he eats. This food has real quail eggs sliced in half along with chicken parts in a watery broth. So the cat that eats with his paws ended up with wet paws when he was done. He still ate all of his serving. The third cat really liked the broth.

  • Love the extra liquid in Tiki

    By on

My cat loves all the Tiki cat foods. I like them because the extra liquid makes it easy to give her supplements. She has diabetes, along with the insulin I give her drops of Blood Sugar Gold and Urinary Gold from Pet Wellbeing, also Dr. Mercola Krill Oil. The drops just blend in with the liquid and she doesn't know she has taken them, without the liquid she would eat around the food the drops were on. Before I discovered this it was really hard holding her down and putting the drops in her mouth.

  • Tiki Cat Chicken & Quail Egg

    By on

I always keep Tiki Cat around as a special treat for my cats. However, this product was also really invaluable in tempting a sick dog who would eat nothing else to bounce back. He especially loved the broth which mixes well with dried food and stimulates the appetite like nothing else I tried.

  • Kitty went nuts for this!

This food was gobbled up by Charlotte. It has honest-to-God quail eggs in it - sliced in half. She was in heaven. Very high quality food!

  • Too much broth

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

My cats really like this food. It seems to be quality food, shredded chicken and one half of a quail egg in each can. The issue that I have is that it is mostly broth. I use it only as a topper for their dry food as it is pricey.

  • Plenty of broth

    By on

My cat really likes this food including the egg which I chop up a bit. It has lots of broth which she laps up first. She is 18 and has CKD, but so far, I don't feed her a renal diet because she is maintaining her weight and doing well on high quality wet food like Tiki. There is so much broth that you can reserve some to add to other wet food that doesn't have as much. I have fed her Tiki Cat After Dark chicken, chicken with quail egg, duck and lamb and she loved all four. She is not a pâté fan.

I think is my boy's favorite so far. I love the real egg in it and I am sure my boy does to as the bowl is always clean after he eats this!!

  • not as good as other tiki cat products

    By on

Lots of liquid in these cans and not much meat. The little quail egg is not popular with my cats. They do like the taste of the food and drink all the liquid - but I was hoping for more meat and less water/broth.

  • One-Half Quail Egg per small can.

    By on Top 250 Contributor

I recommend cooking quail eggs for your cat to see if he/she likes them before buying this food. The quail egg is almost a gimmick. There was half an egg in the small can. My cat wouldn't touch it. She ate some of the chicken. It's great to have organ meat available although gizzards are not the best for them from what I understand. The heart and liver are very nutritious. Also, some of the chunks/shreds of meat are on the larger side. Some cats may require them to be cut up a bit more. Regarding eggs--quail and other: they seem to be more appetizing to cats when the yolk is still runny like sunny side up or over-easy. My one cat used to lap them up like that.
