Recommendations vary greatly, based on your cat’s age, condition and activity level. For Adult cats, feed approximately 2 - 3 cans per day per 7 lbs of body weight. Serve at room temperature and refrigerate unused portion.
The best way to transition to a new food is to switch gradually over the course of 7-10 days. For example, make a mixture that contains 25% of the new food and 75% of the old food and feed that for three days. Then make it 50-50 for three more days, then 75% new food and 25% old food for three more days. If your cat seems comfortable with this progression, you can start feeding 100% new food. If at any time your pet starts vomiting, has loose stools, or appears constipated, slow the rate at which you are switching the food. If problems continue to occur, consult your veterinarian.

Who eats this stuff ?

I ordered this for a cat that LOVES shrimp. My cats certainly did not like this food. I even picked out the shrimp but I guess the tuna smell overwhelmed because no one touched it. I tried this out on another several cats and still no one interested. I am puzzled by this food, it is not the same kind of tuna you find at the grocery store (which my cats will eat) whatever kind of tuna Tiki cat uses I have not yet found a cat that really likes it.

We went through so many brands before finding Tiki Cat- and even the non Aloha Friends were not always welcomed. But, something about the Aloha Friends line they love, and paired with the dry food, they gobble it down. Their coats improved a lot, so soft and fluffy!

Mahalo Tiki Cat! All 3 furballs love this food! It looks different then other wet food & smells horrible when I open it BUT Rocky the picky eat loves this! Not a drop is wasted all bowls are empty by each of them. Will be ordering this from now on! Mahalo Tiki Cat & Chewy!

I have four cats. They all need higher protein and moisture filled food and this one takes the cake! Is has the cutest lil shrimp in it and pumpkin pieces. They adore eating it and it’s a great topper on their dry food. A 5.5 oz can splits well between the four and I absolutely love this bread.

My cats love this flavor of Tiki Cat Tuna with Shrimp and Pumpkin. They really like to dig in their food looking for shrimp. I feed them this only once a week as a treat and the regular Tiki Cat tuna daily.

My cats' least favorite formulation in the Aloha line

If you're considering buying this food, I'd recommend getting the variety pack first so that you can see whether they like this particular formulation. Consistency: This whole line of food has kind of a weird consistency. The tuna component of this food is macerated, very similar to a wet, lumpy pate. In this particular formulation, there are 1 to 2 whole shrimps in the can and small pumpkin cubes, but I mostly saw the pulpy-looking tuna. Palatability: My cats tolerate this food. It's definitely not their favorite from this line, and they will take a long time to eat it. When I put this stuff down, they just pick at it over an hour or two, which is saying something because they are not picky If you're considering buying this food, I'd recommend getting the variety pack first so that you can see whether they like this particular formulation. Very watery, kittens do not like

I typically add a few spoonfuls of a strong smelling food to my kittens normal wet food to entice them to eat it. This did not work.

My cats love it and are thriving on it. I buy many Tiki Cat varieties. I have also found a difference in the litter box. No diarrhea(which had been a problem),and less volume in the box. That means they digest it better and less of the food is expelled.

One of my cats has severe food allergies so I need to get limited ingredient food for him. He is especially allergic to chicken, nearly all canned cat food has some form of chicken in it. Tiki cat has several flavors of canned food that doesn't even have eggs and all the cats like it.
