The best way to transition to a new food is to switch gradually over the course of 7-10 days. For example, make a mixture that contains 25% of the new food and 75% of the old food and feed that for three days. Then make it 50-50 for three more days, then 75% new food and 25% old food for three more days. If your cat seems comfortable with this progression, you can start feeding 100% new food. If at any time your pet starts vomiting, has loose stools, or appears constipated, slow the rate at which you are switching the food. If problems continue to occur, consult your veterinarian.
I have a rescue cat, he eats anything but this food didn’t like it at all. Gave the food one bite, and that was it. Refuse to eat it.
I choose Tiki Cat because it is grain free. I have a diabetic cat but this is not a flavor he loves.
I have seven cats and only three of them like this but only every once in a while. I thought for sure they would love it because they do like sardines. Apparently they don't care for the lobster. Oh well!
I am so glad that this comes in a 6 ounce can. That is just right for my three cats, without having to put any in the fridge for later. They all like it, so I don't have to open several different foods or coax anyone to eat it.
I have three cats who are each picky (and have different things they're picky about), so getting them food is tricky. I'm trying to switch them over to Tiki Cat as it looks like a pretty good-quality food. No matter the flavor the food always looks and smells like real food, whether it's this flavor or others. This one includes big chunks of sardines that my cats love. The other flavors are a bit hit or miss due to their picky ways, but this one has been a reliable favorite for all three. It's a little pricier than I'd like, but if they stick with it I think it'll be worth it.
I really mean that sincerely. Life is so much easier since I have been getting my pet related foods and supplements from you. Great convenience and good prices. At least shopping for them is no longer a chore. I have been with you guys for several years now but still remember the schlepping. Thank you for doing such a good job
Unfortunately Sammie won't even give it a lick. I feel certain it's my cat being very picky-- NOT the product.!!
The first can I gave to my cat, he gobbled it down. It seemed like he really enjoyed it. Then he got a case of diarrhea. He now refuses to eat it after 2 more attempts of feeding it to him. After that first can, he's not touching the stuff. So buy this at your own risk.
Cats gobbled up my in-store trial purchase of two cans. So I bought a 12-pack. And (not surprisingly), they will not eat it now. Sigh. But I am happy with the quality!
I have five indoor cats. They love Tiki Cat Bora Bora Grill. Two of my cats are allergic to chicken. They can all eat this food and love it.
