The best way to transition to a new food is to switch gradually over the course of 7-10 days. For example, make a mixture that contains 25% of the new food and 75% of the old food and feed that for three days. Then make it 50-50 for three more days, then 75% new food and 25% old food for three more days. If your cat seems comfortable with this progression, you can start feeding 100% new food. If at any time your pet starts vomiting, has loose stools, or appears constipated, slow the rate at which you are switching the food. If problems continue to occur, consult your veterinarian.
I tried two new brands of canned food for my cats including tiki cat snd fussie cat. They would not eat this and I thought it looked and smelled kind of nasty compared to the fussie cat. Of course I know this is partly due to Tuna but the other brand also had tuna content. The price of these are a little better so I gave 2 stars. Also chewy is just great in general so I always give a star just for their shipping speeds and customer service
I've been feeding this to my cats for a few years and lately the cans don't yield as much food and there is a pool of liquid on top of the food when I open the cans. Disappointing as this is a good, low ingredient, wet cat food. Need to start looking for an alternative.
I think it's the reddish colored tuna that he dislikes. He does not like this flavor.
All 6 of my cats love this food and chow down the minute it hits their bowls
My cats used to like Tiki Cat wet food but now, they won't touch this brand anymore. Not sure what happened but they won't eat any of the seafood or chicken flavors. Will be feeding all the cans/pouches I bought to the feral cats.
Winner, winner tuna dinner? I don't think that's how it goes, but you get the point. I couldn't get my kitty to eat ANY wet food -until I tried Tiki cat. She loves it. It is high-quality, and it actually looks like tuna, instead of some mystery meat pate. Win-win.
I thought I would purchase this product to help prevent diabetes in my cats, It smells wonderful when opening so I was very excited. It was very wet and came out of the can easily. They both scratched on the floor like they were trying to cover it up. I figured when they got hungry enough they would eat it....NOPE..
Great food. Tried every possible brand trying to get my cat to eat something other than fancy feast I tried tiki cat & my cat will eat any of their fish flavors.
5 cats and not one of them would eat this food
My cat thinks this is the best next to chicken pouches
