Questions & Answers

14 Customer Questions

I see that the carb content is less than 1% per can. Is this on an as-fed basis, or dry matter? I can't find any info on the Tiki Cat website..

I noticed on one of the Tiki listings it specifies that the tuna is mercury tested. Is this true for all Tiki tuna flavors?
Answer by ChewyFeb 06, 2019
All their seafood is caught in the South Pacific to minimize mercury and pollutants. To further decrease mercury concerns, all their tuna is caught using with short lines to bring in smaller, younger fish. Their fishery is a member of the International Seafood Sustainability Foundation and they follow the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch guidelines.

What is the carbohydrate content per can?
Answer by ChewyJan 31, 2018
This product contains approximately less than 1% Carbohydrates.

Just double checking that it is soy free. Although it came up under that filter. It is not mentioned in description
Answer by ChewyJan 24, 2018
All Tiki formulas contain no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives and are made without corn, wheat, soy or fillers.

Hit or miss

I have two cats that get fed separately. For both it seems to be hit or miss on whether they eat it. For both it is never 100% finished. Will probably skip getting again.

cats not a fan

I tried two new brands of canned food for my cats including tiki cat snd fussie cat. They would not eat this and I thought it looked and smelled kind of nasty compared to the fussie cat. Of course I know this is partly due to Tuna but the other brand also had tuna content. The price of these are a little better so I gave 2 stars. Also chewy is just great in general so I always give a star just for their shipping speeds and customer service

Water added

I've been feeding this to my cats for a few years and lately the cans don't yield as much food and there is a pool of liquid on top of the food when I open the cans. Disappointing as this is a good, low ingredient, wet cat food. Need to start looking for an alternative.

Kitty will not eat this

I think it's the reddish colored tuna that he dislikes. He does not like this flavor.

Cats do not like this brand anymore

My cats used to like Tiki Cat wet food but now, they won't touch this brand anymore. Not sure what happened but they won't eat any of the seafood or chicken flavors. Will be feeding all the cans/pouches I bought to the feral cats.

Winner, winner. . .

Winner, winner tuna dinner? I don't think that's how it goes, but you get the point. I couldn't get my kitty to eat ANY wet food -until I tried Tiki cat. She loves it. It is high-quality, and it actually looks like tuna, instead of some mystery meat pate. Win-win.

I had great expectations

I thought I would purchase this product to help prevent diabetes in my cats, It smells wonderful when opening so I was very excited. It was very wet and came out of the can easily. They both scratched on the floor like they were trying to cover it up. I figured when they got hungry enough they would eat it....NOPE..
