The best way to transition to a new food is to switch gradually over the course of 7-10 days. For example, make a mixture that contains 25% of the new food and 75% of the old food and feed that for three days. Then make it 50-50 for three more days, then 75% new food and 25% old food for three more days. If your cat seems comfortable with this progression, you can start feeding 100% new food. If at any time your pet starts vomiting, has loose stools, or appears constipated, slow the rate at which you are switching the food. If problems continue to occur, consult your veterinarian.
Very good product in theory. Too bad my cats don't like it. I thought it might be the texture so I popped it in the magic bullet with a little water and turned it into a nice puree (their favorite texture) but they still wouldn't eat it. I will continue to experiment.
This cat food is excellent quality and two of my three cats like it...my old girl finds it hard to chew and even pick up with her teeth because the pieces are bigger so I'm trying Tiki Cat Pate to see if she can eat that!
my cat LOVES this food and any food from tiki cat! i started her with tiki cat wet food to transition her off of kibble and she immediately just started eating around the kibble and only wanting the wet food! if you can afford tiki cat please give it a try! they have multiple lines so if your cat doesn’t fall in love with this specific food then i’d definitely try some of their other foods! tiki is the best!!
I find Tiki Cat to be one of the better cat foods on the market. There's no by products, fillers, carageenan or GMO's or artificial color or flavoring in the flavors I buy. It actually looks & smells like real food. Cats are happy so I'm happy :)
maybe your cats will find it palatable, but mine didn't. one sniff and they walked away. i tried multiple times.
Tiki cat (anything chicken) is our favorite. He loves all the chicken varieties and I love that they are really good for him.
I think it looks great, no odor etc, real chicken and a bit of egg. Neither of my two cats went crazy for it. It has a lot of protein and good for my diabetic cat. Ralph my hypo thyroid cat just wants food. he is happy with Friskies but needs this Tiki Cat too!
Missy didn't care for it. It has chicken in it and she apparently doesn't like chicken.
Beautifully presented and my cat loves it. I would recommend tiki cat to anyone.
I think Tiki makes very good quality cat food. Unfortunately some products have egg which I believe is not good for cats and my cat wont eat it anyway. Tiki has Plenty of other choices so no biggie.
