Feeding Instructions

For adult cats, feed approximately 1 1/2 cans per day per 7 lbs of body weight. Amounts will vary based on age, activity level and condition.

Transition Instructions

The best way to transition to a new food is to switch gradually over the course of 7-10 days. For example, make a mixture that contains 25% of the new food and 75% of the old food and feed that for three days. Then make it 50-50 for three more days, then 75% new food and 25% old food for three more days. If your cat seems comfortable with this progression, you can start feeding 100% new food. If at any time your pet starts vomiting, has loose stools, or appears constipated, slow the rate at which you are switching the food. If problems continue to occur, consult your veterinarian.

All my fur babies love it!

By Amber on Dec 29, 2021

We have been wanting to switch our kitties off of Wellness because we feel the quality has gone downhill. We have been using the Tiki Cat mousse treats as toppers on their dry food and decided to try out their canned. It’s a huge hit. They can’t get enough of it! I love that it’s actual shredded chicken in chicken broth - it doesn’t look insanely processed like other canned foods.

    4 Cats Love It!!!

By Merv on Nov 19, 2021

I have one cat that has urinary crystal problems and has sensitive stomach. My other 3 cats are normal. But they ALL love this food. Only wet food I will continue to buy. If you have multiple cats I suggest getting the 10 oz. You get more money's worth. All of my cats are in good health and I can definitely thank Tiki Cat for that.

Good but 2.8 oz cans more moist than this size

By DeeAnn on Sep 13, 2021

I was buying the 2.8oz cans and decided to try the 10oz cans to split with my 2 cats. The only issue I had with the larger cans is that the liquid settled to the bottom and the food at top was on the dry side. I added a little bit of water so not as dry. I didn't encounter this with the smaller cans. Maybe I just got a batch of 10oz cans that had less liquid but I still like the nutritional value of this food.

    Great product for urinary-sensitive cats!

By Ellie on Sep 23, 2021

I needed a high protein, high protein diet for my adult male cat with urinary issues. He is SUPER picky about his foods, and I was really worried about this. The chicken is soft, shredded, and he loves it. Would recommend, so glad it comes in these big cans because it is all he eats now!

    Succulent Chicken is a hit!

By Marti on Jun 16, 2021

I have two (2) senior cats, each with their own issues - one is diabetic and the other has pancreatitis and IBD. I have been struggling to stablize the blood glucose in my diabetic cat and it has been difficult to find a food (including a prescription diet) that is liked and better digested by my other elder cat. This seems to be doing the trick for both, thankfully! It is honestly a bountiful amount of shredded chicken breast in chicken broth (with necessary vitamins and minerals) but no carbs, grains, or potatoes (no potato starch either!), all of which can throw a diabetic's BG off. It actually smells delicious and could easily be mistaken for human food! It is a bit pricey but as long as it continues to make a positive difference and they enjoy something that is actually good for them, it's worth it. … more

    Kitties like it

By Wobbely on Oct 21, 2021

The kitties do like it but they prefer it mixed in with a food in gravy or I chop it up so it’s not quite as stringy

    Calling for chickens

By Petu on Apr 18, 2021

This Tiki Cat selection is the basic food for my cats. I can serve it plain or mix it with other Tiki Cat selections like chicken and quail, mackerel and sardines, or my own chicken livers, tuna, and salmon. For a while there was a supply problem, and it was devastating for me, as it disrupted my cats' menu. However, it appears things are back on track. what a relief. And having it delivered to the door In the Chewy.com box is convenient.

    Good with one caveat

By melissa on Mar 20, 2021

I love this food die to its ingredients. There are no weird starches or vegetables which cats do not need. The one thing I do not understand about this food though is the feeding guidelines. My cat is a healthy 13lbs for his size and yet they recommend almost a pound of food a day. My 40 pound dog is fed a raw food diet and the recommended amount is the same. I really don’t understand how it makes sene that a cat of a much smaller size is supposed to eat a pound of meat a day. My cat is older, about 10 years old and we got him when he was over fed a cheap, kibble diet. He looks absolutely amazing now, has lots of energy and I want to keep him healthy and feed him the right amount of food but I love this food die to its ingredients.
