Transition Instructions

The best way to transition to a new food is to switch gradually over the course of 7-10 days. For example, make a mixture that contains 25% of the new food and 75% of the old food and feed that for three days. Then make it 50-50 for three more days, then 75% new food and 25% old food for three more days. If your cat seems comfortable with this progression, you can start feeding 100% new food. If at any time your pet starts vomiting, has loose stools, or appears constipated, slow the rate at which you are switching the food. If problems continue to occur, consult your veterinarian.

Nom nom nom, says Enzo Purrari

By TonkasMom on Jan 16, 2022

Enzo Purrari took a few feedings to get used to this food, but now loves it and will turn up his nose at even lightly cooked food. (What worked for us was taking up his dry food that he has usually always had available, just for a few days. Once he started eating this, he discovered he liked it!) It’s really helped with his over the top stinky litter box, which was why I was trying raw food in the first place. (On Royal Canin, the smell was unbearable, and it was only tolerable on TikiCat kibble, which we still feed him because he still loves it so much.) Enzo eats approximately one container of raw food or less a week. CAVEAT: Be prepared for the FedEx shipment to be delayed; Chewy’s customer Enzo Purrari took a few feedings to get used to this food, but now loves it and will turn up his nose at even lightly cooked food. CAVEAT: Be prepared for the FedEx shipment to be delayed; Chewy’s customer service is great and will replace a thawed shipment ASAP, but I suggest you order two weeks ahead of when you actually need it—you can always leave it in the freezer if it arrives on time and still frozen (which has happened only twice out of four deliveries so far. This is not, of course, Chewy’s fault, but they do stand behind it anyway.) … more

Cats loved it, but price is only downside

By Nora on Jan 12, 2022

My 3 cats all absolutely love this product. They have tried many different wet and dry foods and this is probably their favorite. The only downside is because I have 3 cats, this food goes a lot faster, meaning that the price is not sustainable for me. I probably will not buy again anytime soon and will have to find a cheaper one they like.

    Won't touch

By Savannahs on Dec 16, 2021

My 2 Savannah's won't touch this. I thought they would love it since they are crazy about raw chicken that I grind. Way to expensive, you have to buy 3 tubs. Maybe I can donate it the the shelter but I don't know if they will even take it? So disappointed.

    Clean food for Casper

By OrangeCheshire on Sep 10, 2021

My cat has issues with wet poop every once in a while. It's been difficult to find food that affects his sensitive stomach. Found this raw solution until there was a shortage so trying to get creative with feeding Casper with other Tiki Cat food options to promote food consistency.

Why is this constantly “Temporarily Unavailable”??

By AngryKittyMom on Jul 25, 2021

My cat loves this food! It’s really like the only food she actually eats (other than her dry food), BUT I cannot get it anymore!! I have been trying to order it for the past 2 months, but every time I get on Chewy it says it’s temporarily unavailable???? I have even tried to find it in stores and the only thing THEY carry is the canned food!! What is it Tiki Cat???? Have you discontinued this product or what??? NOW what am I supposed to feed my cat?? I give THIS product 4 stars ONLY because my cat loves it. Otherwise I give Tiki Cat 1 star for keeping up with demand, (or rather the lack there of).

    3 cats wont eat it

By Troischats on Oct 5, 2021

I really wanted my cats to like a raw diet-its so much better for them, but not one of my three would eat any of it. Its pricey and I've now wasted it all

    Once Again Chewy is AMAZING

By TikiCatRaw on May 26, 2021

I would just like to give a shout out to chewy. I have used chewy for years and they have always been amazing in every aspect of food, customer service and help. Now that they are carrying Raw cat food I was so very excited since Rad cat went under a few years ago. Of course is always dicey shipping frozen cat food especially in the summer months and some other competitors in the previous few years were lets just say less than acceptable. Today I received my first shipment of Frozen raw from Tiki Cat and it arrived in perfectly frozen conditions under dry ice which was still dry ice and not evaporated. So if you are a believer in Raw food and have been looking for options this is your new I would just like to give a shout out to chewy. An Outstanding Product for My Cats

By TrixieDogsMom on Jun 4, 2021

We ordered and tried this amazing Tiki Cat Raw Chicken with Chicken Bone Broth for our two older female cats. It was shipped in a box with dry ice so it was completely frozen when we received it. After it thawed out in the refrigerator, we opened the container and the food was a perfect. It looked much like canned cat food but we could can tell it is fresh, raw and healthier for them. What we noticed is since it contains glucosamine and chondroitin, they moved around better and seemed to acted much more energetic. I think they were just totally satisfied with the flavor and way it made them feel. We were amazed at how much our girls loved the taste because they were not at their dish as much, but they were ready to eat again when they saw the container. We only give our furry family the best and this product is by far the best for our cats. … more

    My cat LOVES this food!

By Kaitlyn on May 19, 2021

I've been feeding my cat this food for a few days now, and she LOVES it! I can barely scoop it into her bowl fast enough! I never thought to feed her anything but generic cat food, but when I saw the ingredients in the Tiki Cat Raw cat food, it made me really think about what I was feeding my cat. This food is high in protein, has real chicken as the first ingredient, and is free of GMOs and grains. All the ingredients are easy to read and make me feel a lot better about what I'm feeding Loretta. I feel like it will improve her overall health and give her the energy she needs, plus she can't get enough of the chicken flavor!
