Transition Instructions

The best way to transition to a new food is to switch gradually over the course of 7-10 days. For example, make a mixture that contains 25% of the new food and 75% of the old food and feed that for three days. Then make it 50-50 for three more days, then 75% new food and 25% old food for three more days. If your cat seems comfortable with this progression, you can start feeding 100% new food. If at any time your pet starts vomiting, has loose stools, or appears constipated, slow the rate at which you are switching the food. If problems continue to occur, consult your veterinarian.

    High Quality Food

By Lazriel on Nov 17, 2021

My cat is 16-17 and has been eating regular Tiki cat food for years with great success. Her vet recommended she get on a "senior diet" to help with kidney numbers but the "senior" chicken and salmon pouches didn't have enough calories and she lost some weight. I got this as an attempt to help her gain weight back. I was impressed with how the food looks. It did take about a week (or more) to get into a routine with this food but now, she seems to be really into it. I do add a little extra canned pumpkin to help with bowel movements. Raw food is a bit more inconvenient than her regular food, since my cat is a grazer and you can't leave out raw food too long. We'll figure it out though. Good Ingredients

By KSpain on Jul 17, 2021

Finally a raw food my cat can digest, without bones and fruits/vegetables. He can't digest any of that stuff and most raw has all of that in it. He liked the duck best of the flavors. The pumpkin is gentle enough for his tummy. He already eats Tiki Cat canned due to they are one of few companies that don't add unnecessary ingredients for cats that cannot digest them.

    Great Food

By Lana on Apr 28, 2021

This is a great food, I am just sad TikiCat doesn't use real raw bone in their recipes. However, this will be in our rotation of different raw foods. All four of my cats ate it well with a topping at first, and then without the topping. The boxes come in with broken lids but that's a very minor issue. Glad to see frozen raw on Chewy!
