Recommendations vary greatly, based on your cat’s age, activity level and life stage. For Adult Cats: Feed approximately 2-3 pouches per day per 7 lbs. of body weight. For Kittens: Offer food several times a day, feed up to twice this amount.
Pregnant or nursing cats may require two to four times their normal feeding.
Always provide access to clean, fresh water. Canned food should be changed at least twice daily in order to prevent spoilage. Serve at room temperature, and refrigerate any unused portion.
The best way to transition to a new food is to switch gradually over the course of 7-10 days. For example, make a mixture that contains 25% of the new food and 75% of the old food and feed that for three days. Then make it 50-50 for three more days, then 75% new food and 25% old food for three more days. If your cat seems comfortable with this progression, you can start feeding 100% new food. If at any time your pet starts vomiting, has loose stools, or appears constipated, slow the rate at which you are switching the food. If problems continue to occur, consult your veterinarian.
I fed this to my cat when she was a kitten and newly diagnosed with a chicken allergy - the protein, fat, fiber differ only by 1% from the kitten formulation. It was a life saver, and she has continued to favor this Tiki cat mousse above most foods she’s tried since (now she’s all grown up). It comes with higher protein (12%) than average, great water content for hydration, easy to digest, and good quality ingredients.
My cats wouldn't eat it, I think it's the flavor? I've been trying to a wet food they will eat but I even mixed it with water but they didn't like it. Maybe your cats will. I heard this is a great brand.
We bought this for our cat who was suffering from 'renal failure' when she was refusing any food at all. And she ate it for a couple days before refusing this too in the end sadly.
6 out of 6 of my crew walked away from this. The 6th one is a stray so I think that is really saying something. I will give away to a friend to feeds other strays.
My poor little very picky geriatric, with very few teeth, loves this. Highly recommend.
Our two cats not only love this, but it makes it easy to crush their medicine into it so they get it easily
My cat suddenly quit eating for several weeks but I happened to find this food and she loves it. We were afraid she was going to die because none of the vets could find anything wrong with her but after we found this she has been doing great.
Our senior kitty is on a special kidney diet now, but we use these as flavor enhancers to keep her interested in her prescription food. They've helped a lot!
My cat loves this new "soft" food. We use it to give him all his meds in the morning and night & it makes that process so easy now. It seems much healthier than many other cat foods, since it is grain and potato free. My only issue is it's not easy to get it out of the package without being a bit of a mess, since it's a squeeze pouch with no seal at the top, once it's open.
This and the Tuna/Mackerel flavor are the only cat foods that makes both my picky eaters lick their bowls. All other wet foods and flavors are a waste of money in our house, because half is left in the bowl.
