Recommendations vary greatly, based on your cat’s age, activity level and life stage. For Adult Cats: Feed approximately 2-3 pouches per day per 7 lbs. of body weight. For Kittens: offer food several times a day, feed up to twice this amount.
Pregnant or nursing cats may require two to four times their normal feeding.
Always provide access to clean, fresh water. Canned food should be changed at least twice daily in order to prevent spoilage. Serve at room temperature, and refrigerate any unused portion.
The best way to transition to a new food is to switch gradually over the course of 7-10 days. For example, make a mixture that contains 25% of the new food and 75% of the old food and feed that for three days. Then make it 50-50 for three more days, then 75% new food and 25% old food for three more days. If your cat seems comfortable with this progression, you can start feeding 100% new food. If at any time your pet starts vomiting, has loose stools, or appears constipated, slow the rate at which you are switching the food. If problems continue to occur, consult your veterinarian.
After trial and error, we finally found something our girls love. One of them has no teeth, so this is perfect. I add a water moat around the food to get a little more fluid in their bodies. The mackerel and this are the only varieties they will eat
I have an older cat with few to no teeth who needs to take meds 2x day with her soft food. She can't eat regular pate and if food has chunks she won't eat it. This softer pate is a much better consistency. I still add a bit of water but it blends easily with her meds and she eats it up. My one complaint is an odd one - the packets are too large. I need to make sure she east it all so I only give her maybe 2/3 of the packet. So I'd like less food in the packet but that's probably just me.
My nine year old cat has been eating this flavor for four years. She loves it. I have tried so many different brands and flavors but she always favors this one
I don't blame any of my cats for not liking this. It looks like slime.
My cat inhales the fish versions of this and will eat this if he is really hungry and we offer nothing else. I tried to get some variety in him. It's a great product. I just have a picky cat!
My 21 yo cat has always been finicky, I tried all brands soft and dry. No go until this one. She loves them all the varieties but this is her favorite!!
My cats are moderately fussy, most things they like but there are some they don't like. They liked this one. I'll be buying more. I originally bought the multiflavor pack and I'm glad I did. Ends up my crew loved 2 of the flavors (this and tuna mackeral), liked 1 (chicken & egg, much to my surprise) and turned their kitty noses up at the other flavors.
All 3 of my cats Love Tiki. They have their special flavors and will eat every drop. It's worth every cent.
Snooky has cancer in her jaw and Tiki CAT Velvet Mousse is the only thing she can easily eat. She likes anything with tuna so the tuna/chicken flavor is one of her favorites.
My 16+ y/o had an ear infection last year which included a lot of dizziness. After that, he wouldn't "chew" his food - he'd only lick the moisture off what he was given. Being a diabetic on insulin he needed his food, so I started pureeing it every day, and he accepted it - but what a lot of work! When I found TikiCat Velvet mousse - I kept my fingers crossed - and he loves it (and he is FUSSY)! Cleans his plate! I definitely endorse this product.
