All 6 cats ok on it
My daughter and I recently tried TT kibble. I got the COMPLETE formula while she got this INDOOR formula. Both are chicken, so BOTH HAVE YELLOW BAGS, AND BOTH BANNERS ARE B/W just swapped, which makes it TOO EASY TO BUY THE WRONG ONE! My 6 cats all eat this complete recipe kibble and haven’t had any digestive issues. It’s not quality food but on a budget, it’s a savings alternative now and then. The indoor formula does help most cats pass hair through their #2 rather than puking, but not all cats tolerate that formula. 2 of our 7 cats could not hold it down at all, so I’m sticking with the COMPLETE. Regardless of which TT formula you try, I strongly recommend slowly blending it in with the old food over a couple of weeks for the cats to acclimate and mitigate rejection. I will buy this TT COMPLETE formula again, but not INDOOR. Chewy- I implore you to change the banner color on one of these two yellow-bagged chicken kibbles to differentiate them better visually.
Not a cat fan favorite!
I'd forgotten I'd purchased this same food once before and my cats didn't really much care for it, eating little of it. However, the ingredients look pretty good to me, and it was on sale for a decent price, and available, so not a bad choice for feeding feral cats. For the hungry in need strays, it seems to get eaten up.
My cat wouldn't eat!
I don't see how this product gets a lot of stars. My cat will eat several different brands of cat food. I got this because of increasing costs of other foods and my cat wouldn't touch it. She went in and ate the dog's food. Not bashing the company just wanting to make people aware that their cat may not eat this product and they will have wasted their money.
Not a good choice of cat food
My cats will not eat this food the bag once opened is barely below half full. It smells bad and they refuse to eat it. I thought I was buying a big bag and if they would eat it, it wouldn’t not last a week! I won’t buy this again I don’t recommend anyone unless you want to pay that much for food that smells bad and is not as advertised.
Decent "Economy" Food/Supplemental
Our precious strays like it, and it could be worse nutritionally for a lower cost kibble. It's similar to Special Kitty Naturals (long out of stock), but a bit lower in protein like the latest Cat Chow Naturals "Original". It may actually be higher in meat protein given the color (less corn gluten) and that dry chicken by-product meal is the first ingredient (CCN presumably uses fresh/wet chicken, which could make it easier to be listed #1, by pre-processing weight, despite it's lower protein density). So far nobody has a grain allergy, so I'll use this along with an "Active Cat" food that's extra rich in chicken (for a little more per lb than CCN) and paté mealtime. An overall decent diet that doesn't have a gaggle of "tiny tigers" eating one out of house & home.
Not a good experience.
I bought this for the stray cats I feed on a daily basis. It was on sale half price so I decided to try it, and if they liked it, I would purchase it regularly. For the most part, the cats wouldn't eat it. I think the local possums ate it instead. I have since gone back to the regular food I was feeding the cats and they are gobbling it up. I don't think this was a hit with the cats.
Sasquatch Won't Even Eat It!
I purchased this food for my beloved homeless kitties. For some reason they haven't touched it! Usually when I leave crunchies out overnight they'll clean their bowls, but I don't think that they ate one bite! Not did the skunks, raccoons nor even poor old Sasquatch who, I'm told, roams this area of North California!! I then put a bit in a bowl for the indoor kids and they turned tail in a huff. Now, I'll have to hunt down a hard to find (and horribly over priced) bag of their favorite. Cat food is in short supply right now but the kitties just want what they want. It's hard on everyone who loves them! :-(
Cats say it’s ok
I had to get this because out of the gentle on stomach cat food I normally get. My cat’s didn’t get sick thankfully but they don’t care for it. They only take one or two bites and leave the rest.
Chicken By-Product Meal
First ingredient is not Chicken Meal, nor Chicken: who knows what or where the "By-Product" is or comes from. Definitely not "Natural". It is for the outside moggies and I still have to add Purina Cat Chow Naturals to the mix. I used to buy Special Kitty Cat Naturals (was also mixed with Purina), but WM appears not to be selling this anymore. Miz Fluffie, a very furry grey cat with white paws and chest, was not too impressed. I'll keep buying for the moment.
My girls look at me sad when we run out of tiny tiger. They despise the back up brand and it's like Christmas when the chewy box gets here. They really do recognize that box as theirs. I wish I could put it on recurring order. But, my budget isn't recurring purchase friendly.
