FAQ

How often should I clean my aquarium?

The frequency depends on the number and kinds of fish, but usually once every week or two is sufficient. Replace 20% - 25% of the waterwith fresh, treated water. If you use a gravel cleaner to siphon debris and uneaten food from the bottom of the tank while removing oldwater, the job will go quickly. There are almost no circumstances where you should completely empty the tank and start over.

Its OK and working for me

    By on

I was reading the reviews and I almost didn't buy this. I thought about it and for the price I'd take a chance. I found that it works. Nothing crazy but it does suck up the excess food on the bottom. Its not a powerful suction but just take your time. I've used it 3 times so far and all is well. Yes the bottom is a lot better and I can see the difference because the gravel is black. Oh, the little bag that collects the junk does show up in the bag. Happy with it so far.

    Must have for small tanks!

    By on

This thing is a game changer for people with small tanks. So many options when it comes to cleaning the tank. You can just suck up the poop and uneaten food with the water going back into the tank, or you can attach a hose and siphon out the water as well. I have a 5 gallon tank and this thing is absolutely 100%! So glad I made this purchase.

    Awesome!!!!!

I was looking for something to quickly clean funk off the top of the sand instead of having to siphon out the water and funk and then add more water in. Carrying buckets and slowing pouring is a thing of past. I can quickly click this on, pick up poo and dead leaves and food, rinse out the waste bag and repeat again the next day. A few things to note: make sure your aquarium is tall enough, it needs to be fully submerged all the way to battery housing, no it is not a powerful suction and I wouldn’t recommend on gravel:but for sand it’s great. Batteries I believe are D so not your standard batteries you’d normally have around the house

You get what you pay for

    By on

I bought this to do daily maintenance on my turtle tank. It works but not as its suppose to. In order to make it run I have to hold down the button. This is annoying but for a $10 siphon it works. I wouldn't recommend this siphon for a tank any deeper than 10 inches. It works fine for what I use it for. It does eat up batteries.

    satisfied and worth the money.

    By on

I was looking to buy 50$ Equipment to fill and empty my two 10 gallon tanks. This worked out great. All I had to do is trim down the gravel nozzle. (u can buy one that doesn’t have the teeth) I had no issues with this vacuum. It cuts my water changes in half and cleaning gravel without hassle it picks the waste. U just have to have a hose that fits over the black lid that is on where the cloth part goes. Don’t throw the away the black lid.

    Don't waste your money

    By on

This as no suction especially if you use the attachments and every time you use it even for just 5 minutes it needs new batteries. Stirs up the stuff instead of vacuuming it. Hope I can return it
