I just got a cat who is over 11 yrs old, supposedly has a lot of constipation issues..i suspect possible hairballs so i am buying hairball remedy, does this work like a laxative in older cats?

Pet has to eat it for it to work

I got one cat to eat one dose of this, but neither cat would eat subsequent doses. I didn't notice an improvement in the stool consistency in the one cat who took some. It's hard to know if it works if the animals won't eat it. The pills themselves are HUGE, making dosing smaller animals like cats very difficult if they won't eat them by themselves. I will admit that I didn't try to see if it were possible to crush the pill and mix it with food, but given how difficult it can be to get them to eat, I didn't want to risk them rejecting food entirely.

Works great!

My 15 year old Dachshund, Trixie, is on several meds. She gets consistent diarrhea, poor baby! Ordered this product and it worked right away!

Not good for small dogs

Unless your dog will eat these by being crushed and mixed with something they like, it's probably good. My small terrier wouldn't touch it no matter what. These pills are HUGE!

Cat wouldn't eat it

My 14 yr old cat has had intermittent diarrhea for the last 5 yrs and I have tried so many products and have yet to find one that helps nor to determine the cause of the diarrhea. I crushed a quarter tablet and sprinkled it in his food that has gravy but he wouldn't touch it! My husband laughs at me but I actually tasted the product, which I have done with other meds, and this product has very little taste so I am unsure why my cat woun't eat it.

Dog gone issue

My 3 lbs dog had loose stool. . I cut the pill into 1/6 pieces. They worked immediately. She liked the taste too. I gave her only two doses in two days. It stopped her problem. It hasn’t returned in 2 1/2 weeks. Only give when needed.

It made my dog explode

Nothing like being woken up in the middle of the night with a dog who exploded up the wall and all over the carpet. We were up all night with her having massive diarrhea after taking this supplement and all day the next day. Do not buy this product

Works good!

I have an older boxer/pit mix and as she ages her digestive tract seems off. Her stool is always slightly looser than it should be. I noticed a difference right away. I only gave her two pills at a time and she should have had 3-4...she’s 90 pounds. You only get 10 pills which doesn’t last long so I wish there was a bigger bottle. Other then that, overall good product!
