Tomlyn Laxatone Hairball Remedy Tuna Flavor Gel Cat Supplement is a smooth easy-to-use gel for the prevention and removal of hairballs in cats and kittens. Both long and short haired cats shed to some degree all year long. Bathing and brushing helps lower the amount of hair swallowed during self-grooming, but some hair gets into the stomach and it cannot be digested. It can block your cat's digestive system. Regular use of Laxatone coats the swallowed hair and allows it to easily pass through the intestinal tract. Laxatone is a safe, gentle, easy-to-use gel used worldwide for over 25 years. It has an irresistible taste... just place the recommended amount of gel on your finger or on the animal's paw. For best results, feed between meals and do not mix with food.

Helps eliminate hairball in the litter box rather than create a mess on the floor
Safe and effective hairball treatment may be used daily to prevent and treat hairballs
Regular use coats swallowed hairballs and allows them to pass through the intestinal tract

Both cats not interested at first. I placed required amount onto their tongue for first few days....forced open their mouths like I was 'pilling them', smearing product onto tongue. By day 4, when they saw the bottle, they did not run. Now they each willingly lick off of my finger. I'm into second week using product. Noticed hair in stool in the kitty that had most hairball 'gifts' in general...by the way, she eats hair off carpet, dust bunnies, from my head, etc... She did also cough up one hairball witjin furst two weeks, too. Time will tell the overall effectiveness of product.

Did notice that when laying product diwn, uncapped, it easily spills out. When I stored it like it is seen in the picture of the item on the site, when I open it, it cones out fast. Have since started storing it 'upside down ' and when administering before I re-cap, I place it against something so top is upright.… more
So far it seems great

I bought this alongside some hairball chews and I’m so glad I did as my cats won’t touch the chews. This stuff is super easy to use and gives a couple different delivery methods. I find squeezing a bit out of the bottle then just rubbing it on her paw works best, she sits and licks it all off.
It hasn’t been long enough for me to gauge how much it helps with her hairball issues yet, so I may need to come edit, but we’re really happy with how easy it is to get our Ragdolls to use it.
As described in product list.

The Tomlym hairball remedy is a lot runnier than the product I used previously. It's difficult to get it to stay on my finger until I get it in the cat's mouth. My cats will not eat it or lick it off their paws. If it was a little more stiff, i could get it directly on their tongue. It ends up with it everywhere.
Great product so far.

I have a maine coon that gets sick with hairballs a few days a week. I put the laxatone in a syringe and squirt it on the back of his tongue. He swallows it and doesn't seem to mind the taste. Done! I've only been using it a few days but seems to be working great!
So far my cat won't take it

I tried letting my two cats smell it hoping they would lick the open tube. They didn't. Then I put some on the paw of my one cat who has big issues with hair balls and he's a little on the wacky side. He freaked and ran around the house as fast as he could. Later, I put some on a paper plate. They both smelled it and one tasted it but it just sat there. I am going to try it some more because my wacky cat really needs something.
It works great for my cats.

I have used this product for years on hairball issues. Not all of my cats like the taste but it works. I don't recommend putting it on the paws because you could have a sticky mess. I just take the recommended amount on my finger and put it in the corner of their mouth when they are relaxed somewhere. They get over it.
Best hair ball remedy!

I swear by this stuff. I work with a cat rescue org and we foster and rehome a cats, and this hairball remedy is truly the best.
I give on an empty stomach like a inch sized line for 1-3 days in a row and it helps with hair balls, and even constipation. I’ve taken cats to vets who have been blocked, but now I always use this as a first step if I start noticing it and this usually clears everything up quickly. Would not use any other hair ball remedy.
They don’t all like to eat it- very case by case basis. I just smear as much of it as I can onto their paws and they’re forced to clean if off themselves. Some of them hate it but it’s only a couple times and it works so it’s worth it.

I have two very furry white cats who constantly throw up hairballs. They both love this product and will sit up to get licks off my finger. The incidents of hairballs has definitely decreased.
petroleum jelly with flavoring

I only got this one because my cats didn't like the higher quality kind. But they didn't like this one either and it's basically just petroleum jelly.
