Tomlyn Laxatone Hairball Remedy Catnip Flavor Gel Cat Supplement is a smooth easy-to-use gel for the prevention and removal of hairballs in cats and kittens. Both long and short haired cats shed to some degree all year long. Bathing and brushing helps lower the amount of hair swallowed during self-grooming, but some hair gets into the stomach and it cannot be digested. It can block your cat's digestive system. Regular use of Laxatone coats the swallowed hair and allows it to easily pass through the intestinal tract. Laxatone is a safe, gentle, easy-to-use gel used worldwide for over 25 years. It has an irresistible taste... just place the recommended amount of gel on your finger or on the animal's paw. For best results, feed between meals and do not mix with food.

Rejected by my cat
By Lynn on Nov 8, 2020
My cat has regularly used Sentry fish flavored petromalt for years. As Chewy doesn't carry it, I thought I'd try something new for her. She does like catnip so this sounded good. But she hated it so much, at the first whiff she flew across the room and under the bed. So that is her review.

Great for picky cat
By Djames on Jan 12, 2021
This is the only hairball remedy my picky cat will eat. I’ve tried every kind and every flavor. He loves the catnip flavor!

My cats think it’s a treat
By Hkit on Oct 6, 2020
I could never get my cats to take laxatone and forcing them is a stressful mess but they love the catnip flavor. They come running like it’s treat time when I open it up. After I had one kitty with a compacted hair ball I’ve been given this at least once a week since. Seems to be doing the job. I am giving pumpkin and feeding different food too so I can’t promise it’s all this but if your vet recommended laxatone this is the flavor to get.

Cat won’t even acknowledge it
By PickyKitty on Sep 28, 2020
My cat isn’t necessarily picky, but he seems to hate this stuff. I offered it on my finger, I tried to put it on his paw and he just flicked it off. I just don’t know what to do with it now that it’s open and still a full tube. Two star because it’s not the products’ fault my cat doesn’t like it.

By Emeraldeyes on Nov 6, 2020
My cat, Nina Simone, absolutely loves this! She acts like a drug addict when I open the tube and would lick it from the tube indefinitely if I let her! LOL

Don't waste yr money
By Cookeygirl on Oct 21, 2020
It smells awful, looks awful and I had to hold my cat down and smear it on her mouth. From now on I'll just mix a little petroleum in her food. It doesn't smell or have any flavor.

Cats intrigued by scent
By threecats on Sep 10, 2020
As usual, my 1 cat will eat this from the tube. The other 3 say no way; they're suspicious of everything. I wipe it on their coats and they have no choice but to eat it. Litter box is full of poop in the morning and hairball vomiting is much less frequent so the stuff is working.

Great hair ball remedy
By Laura on Aug 25, 2020
Recommended by my vet this product is absolutely the best and works quickly. I have a long-haired cat with whom hairballs have been a constant struggle and this wiped it out in the first week of treatment. Not to mention his coat felt much smoother and silkier

Syrup is not cat-friendly
By Buddy on Jul 18, 2020
Iris wanted no part of this product. That's her prerogative and doesn't necessarily reflect badly on it. What is wrong with the product is that it is labeled a "gel" when the actual consistency is like syrup. Even keeping it in the fridge didn't help very much. Also, the instructions say to put a little on a cat's nose or paw to "stimulate interest." What an insult to a cat's dignity! What's more, had I done that, I would have "stimulated" a mess!
