I guess they changed the formula for this bc all of a sudden my cats love it. Bought for a very sick older kitten who needed to gain weight.

Our beloved baby (4 yrs old) started getting lethargic and felt deathly thin. Rushed him to the vet, went through a battery of tests found out its a UTI. He got an antibiotic shot and a cortisone shot. Vet said to still watch him. Well watching wasn't going to get him back on track I needed to build him up! He was so weak and fading in our arms it felt like... So I thought well hey what do they give kittens they find off the streets and they save them?? So I found this. He is not 100% but he is definitely on the mend and playing and his coat is just gorgeous. I am still working on his weight. He doesn't like the gel in his mouth. He's not happy with me about that either, but I am desperate to get his health back. ***If you do NOT know (I did NOT) LILLIIES ARE FATAL TO CATS.*** Lillies were in a bouquet on the floor of the room he was in!! I don't think this helped him any but I don't know if it contributed to his malaise either. THANK YOU CHEWY FOR HAVING THIS ITEM and getting it to us quickly during the pandemic and during Christmas rush. I honestly think we would have lost him if I had not figured out how to increase his health and you delivering it to us with the swiftness you did. Fingers crossed and prayers welcomed, we can get his weight back up a pound or so. … more

I just received this today. I was very excited to feed it to my cat as he has a hard time keeping on weight. He wanted nothing to do with it. I put some on his lip thinking if he tried it he’d like. Nope! Mixed it with his favorite canned food.... he tried to cover it up. His sister wouldn’t eat it either and she eats everything. Very disappointed.

Life saver, Especially for kittens that are thin and not eating well.

I rescued a starving kitten from a basement. Poor thing was stuck down there for days God only knows how long. He was skin and bones. I have been using this high-calorie supplement to help add weight onto him. The fish flavor makes it easy to mix into food and he had no problem eating it. It's worked wonders for him. Little guy is a fighter.

I couldn't get my 2 foster kittens to lick it off my finger, which I was surprised because they try to eat anything I have!! I had to smear it real good on their paws, so they get it by grooming.

I purchased this to help her my new kitten to eat and put on weight, as he was a "failure to thrive" case. He loves it and after only 2 weeks is doing well; eating and gaining weight and has gotten playful. It is a little hard to measure the small amount as it is sticky, so after a couple times using a measuring spoon, I just eyeball it. Good stuff!

Kitten needs extra calories but won’t eat it due to sour smell and flavor. Will give it to my fat cat who loves it!

My old male cat, severely lost weight over the past year. Changing to wet food and giving this has stopped his decline. He actually likes the taste and it doesn’t bother his sensitive stomach.

My kitten is thin so I bought this so she'd gain weight, however, she doesn't like it and I really don't blame her. It's a thick brown goo with the consistency of molasses. I have to mix it in with wet food to trick her into eating it.
