How do you measure your cat for this?

The small is for cats with neck circumferences of 3.94 - 8.27 inches. The medium is for 4.53 - 11.02 inches.
Would this work to keep an adult cat from getting to the top of their tail?

Worked well, until I washed it.

My cat had a dental cleaning and mass removal that required an e-collar. I thought the cone of shame might be too rough on her, so I ordered this pillow instead. It worked well and stayed adjusted, but was extremely filthy due to her wet food. Threw it in the wash, then in the dryer as she needed to have it back on ASAP, and I believe that it may have warped the plastic stopper. After that, I caught her with it off multiple times as it was unable to stay tight around her neck, which led to a chase around the house to place it back on. I don't think the ear part of the collar was necessary either and would flop down throughout the day.

Cute idea - not executed properly

I bought this for one of my cats and purchased the correct size based on the description/recommendation. He is a big 14 lb cat and he had a habit of going through a little cat door where my other cat eats and then eating all of the food for himself, I wanted a way to prevent him from getting in so I purchased this. Although the "ears" of this pillow ring are cute, within a few minutes they were facing down to the floor instead of upright so I feel this product would've been better as just a donut. There were a couple times my cat was able to get this off and I found out that it wasn't holding the adjustment, so over time with a little bit of pushing and shoving, he could get right out of it again. As much as I liked the idea, I wouldn't recommend this product as it failed to do what it is supposed to.

Off in a flash

My male kitten had this off in a flash the first time trying it before surgery day. Each time he tolerated it a bit longer but never made it longer than 2 hours, which was a problem. The cord holder didn't hold the cord tight enough which made it easy to loosen with a small amount of pressure.

Awkward fit

Cat needed a protective collar/cone after surgery and I wanted something kinder and gentler but this was very large and awkward for 11 pound cat. He slept a bit in it, like a comfortable pillow, but could not walk in it. I thought smaller would be kitten size. The traditional cone seemed uncomfortable to him but this was way too clumsy. It may come in handy for a future pet.

Looks nice, wouldn't stay on

The item does appear to be well constructed. My cat actually used it as a pillow and seemed to like it. She hates cones, so I was surprised she found it comfortable. The problem is that the item is very easy for cats to remove. Even when I tightened the drawstring, it didn't stay tight. The clip intended to hold the drawstring in place moves easily, allowing animals to pull it back over their head.

So cute and functional

This is so much better than putting a cone on my cats head much more comfortable and easy for him to eat and drink from his bowl with this on and I like how soft it is around his neck

not for active cats/kittens

Tried this for my kitten to wear after her spay, did a test fit and she pulled it off immediately. The clasp to tighten doesn’t work well enough to stop them pawing at the cone and slipping it off. The small size would work if it stayed tight enough to keep it on. Super cute but maybe only for an older cat, not an active kitten.

Mostly Comfy But Not Perfect

Like some of the other reviews, the drawstring does not stay drawn. You basically have to tie a knot yourself to keep the cone tight. This makes using the cone pretty annoying. The ears are cute but it ends up sliding down to the bottom due to the weight. I wanted something that wouldn't be as uncomfortable as traditional plastic cones, but this one's functionality could definitely be improved.

Love love love this!

My poor cat has allergies and tore up his hears and cut his eyelid from scratching, even with allergy shots. I tried the dreaded cone, a soft cone and even an inflatable collar. Nothing worked except for this! He can walk, run, jump, eat, drink and sleep with this on. I just bought a second one.

Lifesaver!

We bought this for our cat after she had a cystotomy. The plastic cone from the vet was horrible - our cat couldn't see, kept bumping into things, and couldn't get into her litter box. This pillow allowed her to sleep comfortably and see where she was going. Such a great purchase!
