    Best Muzzle I've used!

    By Linda8 on Dec 24, 2019

I've read some of the reviews on here and it seems some people don't know how to put this on like a halter. The velcro is over the poll and, once adjusted, never needs to be opened- it is a safety release. I use these muzzles exclusively (even after trying and not liking extremely expensive brands like I've read some of the reviews on here and it seems some people don't know how to put this on like a halter. The velcro is over the poll and, once adjusted, never needs to be opened- it is a safety release. I use these muzzles exclusively (even after trying and not liking extremely expensive brands like green guard and still having rubs from regular halters). The halter on this muzzle is simple, once adjusted, to slide over the ears and snap below the jaw. Sized right, it is hard to remove, though I use a little duct tape on the top of the velcro to keep my horses and pony from rubbing them open. I wanted to protect my horse and ease him into this “all you can eat buffet.” I put the muzzle on him and watched for a few minutes, suspecting he might get frustrated, but knowing he’d figure it out since the hole on the bottom is quite large. I returned 20 minutes later and the muzzle itself had stayed on, but was torn clean through the rubber tabs where the nosepiece connected to the halter portion. I have no idea how he managed to do this, and there wasn’t anything in the field he could’ve gotten hung up on. I had to rush out and purchase a new, different brand and this one sits completely unused and useless. … more
