What is the geographic range covered?

The Tractive GPS Tracker features an unlimited range. In fact, you could track your pet even if you're on the other side of the world. And it works in over 150 countries. It connects to the best available mobile network - just like a phone - to provide location data everywhere your pet goes.
What size of collar does this tracker fit on? I want to purchase this for my cat, but am concerned that the collar is too skinny.

This tracker can be used on multiple collar sizes. If using a collar with a width of 1.5 centimeters or less, remove the rubber clip, put the collar through the two rectangular holes on the sides of the rubber clip and fasten the rubber clip on the tracker again. If the collar width is 1.6 centimeters or wider, open the rubber clip on one side of the tracker, place the collar in between the rubber clip and the tracker and close the rubber clip again. I have included a picture below for reference.
Does this tracker track in real time live in order to find where exactly your runaway dog is??

10/10 would recommend

I got the Tractive collar for my American Fox Hound as he is a slave to his nose. Thanks to Tractive we have been able to locate him when he sneaks out. He got loose with my father and had made it to the next town, in thick woods. Using the live feature we were able to get his exact location and retrieve him. He did a total of 17 miles that day, if it weren’t for Tractive he may not have returned home safely.

Charge only lasts for 12 hours.

I don’t care what the description says, even new this didn’t hold a charge for 24 hours. I’m desperately trying to find another product bc in addition to the battery problem, it randomly stops working, can’t connect to WiFi for battery saving feature and customer support, via chat, phone or email is non-existent. I do NOT recommend.

Easy and accurate

This tracker has a lot of features through the app. And easy to use. I wasn’t in love with paying for a monthly subscription but I love my dog more. The only down fall is that I feel like the battery life does not last long I always have it fully charged before letting my dog run, but the battery drains Fast I feel like if I were to need to use it to find my dog the battery may die before I find him.

tractive review

We love the tracker. It is very informative of our little baby boy and what he does in a days time. There are only 2 things I wish it did. 1- Let us know if he has left his virtual fence. 2- Battery last a little longer when not on WiFi. But yes I do highly recommend this product and especially for the price.

Total Garbage!

I bought 2 of these because I saw them on "The Pack" show. I took them out of the box and tried to charge them. One of them will only charge for a few minutes at a time, the other one will charge for around 10 minutes IF I am holding it together the entire time, then it will stop charging. Neither one of them will keep charging no matter what I do. The charging cable is only 12 inches long, so it makes it very difficult to begin with, but even when I get them to charge, they only charge for a short time, then they lose connection and stop charging. The charging cable does not plug into the device, it just sits next to the device, so therefore it does not stay connected. This device is of no use to anyone because they can not be charged!

Buyer beware

The charging cord is only 12 inches long, and it does not 'plug into' the GPS unit. It just sits next to the gps, but the terminals are so very small, it does not keep charging. The red light will come on when you get the terminals to actually connect, and it will charge for a minute or two, then the light will go out because it lost connection. No matter what I do, it will not stay charging longer than a couple minutes, and it needs constant attention to get it to fully charge. This needs a membership to work. They sell membership for a year, 2 years and 5 years. You have only 30 days to decide if you like the service or cancel. So, if you pay for a 5 year plan, and you do not cancel within 30 days, you are stuck for 5 YEARS!

Peace of Mind

Overall, the units I purchased work well. In a rural area, where cell coverage isn't the greatest, I was still getting accuracy within about 50 ft (which is excellent for cellular GPS). I would like to see a little sturdier rubber fastener that holds the unit to your dog's collar. When you sign up for the service plan (a necessity) you're likely to be hit with bank fees as the provider is based in Austria, not the U.S. Overall, I like the units and am very happy with the purchase and would recommend it to others.

Love the History Function

The Tractive tracker works as described. Yes, if you are rural there is a lag. Yes, you do only get a few days out of a charge. BUT, we tested it side by side with a Fi collar (and kept the Tractive). Lost dog mode was better (faster) and Tractive captured way more daily activity data.

poor tracking

tracking is not very accurate. The dog can be sitting by my side and the tracker will say that he just left the fence area. Charging cable is to short.

App does not work and cannot use it

During initial setup iPad App just closed when you chose dog breed. I opened the App again and logged off, and tried to log in again. I got error message and was never able to log in again (I chose Apple ID to log in). I chatted with the rep but she was not helpful at all. I cancel my subscription and wait for the refund.
