Prior to the administration of Dermatologic Solution TRESADERM, remove the ceruminous, purulent or foreign materials from the ear canal, as well as the crust which may be associated with dermatoses affecting other parts of the body. The design of the container nozzle safely allows partial insertion into the ear canal for ease of administration. The amount to apply and the frequency of treatment are dependent upon the severity and extent of the lesions. Five to 15 drops should be instilled in the ear twice daily. In treating dermatoses affecting other than the ear the surface of the lesions should be well moistened (2 to 4 drops per square inch) with Dermatologic Solution TRESADERM twice daily. The volume required will be dependent upon the size of the lesion.
Store in a refrigerator 36 - 46 F (2 - 8 C).
What outcomes can be expected?
Tresaderm will kill susceptible organisms that cause infection when used as prescribed. You should notice your pet feeling better and his skin and ears should start to return to normal. Use beyond 7 days could delay wound healing. If your pets skin/ears are not improving after the medication is finished, contact your veterinarian.
Thiabendazole is an antifungal agent, dexamethasone is a corticosteroid and neomycin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic. These ingredients help to kill susceptible bacteria and fungi/yeast plus relieve associated inflammation.

Cured my Dog of a Terrible ear infection he had for over a year. I thank the vet that prescribed this to me the first time.
This product must be kept cool, and it came in an insulated box with ice packs -- which were still partially frozen. The "insulation" is made from cellulose and performs as well as styrofoam. Excellent packing job! Chewy handled the approval from my vet with no problems.
If you are dealing with ring worm then you will likely need to use Tresaderm. Vet started us with 7.5 ml which ran out quickly. Chewy has the 15 ml for just about the same price. Shop wisely.
My cat has type 2 diabetes and developed yeasty ears. I've tried numerous prescriptions and even did a sedated ear clean and it just kept coming back. Ordered this stuff a week ago and this tiny bottle came with 6 ice packs in a box big enough for my head- cold indeed as indicated. I put the drops in twice a day at insulin time and in 3 days one ear is no longer productive and clean, the other ear is significantly better and on the way to clear as well. The steroid portion has caused my cats sugars to nearly double-a known phenomenon- so beware this could happen to your pet too. We bumped up his insulin for the week to accommodate and so far so good. Highly recommend this and from chewy- it will be properly stored the entire way.
Unfortunately I cannot recommend. My cat is constantly rubbing against things with his ears and he likes when you rub or scratch so I got this med to see if it would help. Unfortunately his eyes watered and he kept sneezing, something he has not done in the past. So I tossed it as I did not like the reaction I was seeing. the med when received was not very cool as all the ice packs had melted. I checked and was told it was ok to use. Temps by us that week were in the high 90s. so i do not know if that caused the med to be bad
i have been using Tresaderm on my dog Sadies ears and various skin problems. It is a good item.
Good for all kinds of ear problems, has an anti-bacterial and a steroid in it. Would give it 5 star rating if it didn't have to be kept in the refrigerator. Cats really don't like cold stuff in their ears, but it works.
I had difficulties to fill up the form with all questions about pet. I don't think it was needed since I gave you our veterinarian's info. But the service was great, I got ear drops in cooler, it was delivered earlier than expected, and I got a coupon I can use next time!
Ordered this based on our vet's prescription due to a ring worm outbreak in our home from our newly adopted kitten. The medicine seems to be working and after a couple of weeks our little baby's hair is finally starting to regrow! The medicine shipped quickly and arrived in a box with ice packs as it needs to stay cold.
My kitty Tucker highly recommends it as well! He has a wonky ear and I use this product several times a week to keep the ear in check.
