TriTop Ointment is a prescription ointment applied directly in the ears or on the skin to aid in the treatment of ear/skin infections and related inflammation. It can also be prescribed by your veterinarian to treat cuts, wounds, and post-surgical incisions. It contains a broad-spectrum antibiotic that can treat multiple species of bacteria and a powerful anti-inflammatory that can relieve redness and swelling.
TriTop Topical Ointment is indicated as treatment or adjunctive therapy of certain ear and skin conditions. In addition, it is indicated as superficial dressing applied to minor cuts, wounds, lacerations, abrasions, and for post surgical application where reduction of pain and inflammatory response is deemed desirable.
Possible Side Effects
TriTop ointment has little to no side effects most of the time if it is used exactly as directed, but vocal irritation can occur. If TriTop is used chronically, it can lead to hearing loss, dizziness, nausea and vomiting. Call your veterinarian immediately if your pet seems to be acting unusual while TriTop is being used.
