What is the dry matter phosphorous, protein and sodium percentage on this food? Thanks.
Answer by ChewyNov 18, 2019
This variety contains 10% Protein content on an as fed basis (45.45% on a dry matter basis), 0.21% Phosphorus content on an as fed basis (0.96% on a dry matter basis) and 0.09% Sodium content on an as fed basis (0.40% on a dry matter basis).

Is the mg/phosphorus per 100 kcal 186 or 257? Two sources are showing different information so I am wondering if there was a formula change.

The phosphorous is 0.18% min of each size container.

What is the added color listed in the ingredients?

alternative to authority

The Triumph beef and Triumph chicken formulas have worked well for us as an alternative to Authority. Our 10yo gal had started dealing with some bladder stone issues right when Authority started disappearing from shelves last spring. We couldn't find it anywhere! We tried out a number of different brands to find something that didn't upset her tum. Now she's on a combo of Triumph and Hill's c/d. I wish Chewy would offer suggestions of similar food formulas when they discontinue brands, and give us some warning so we have time to transition diets before it's gone completely.

Triumph Decline

I had been a devotee to Triumph cat food for several years - good quality at a good price. However, during the past few months, the texture of the food has changed very noticeably: it has somehow been watered down to a gloppy mess! I am in the process of searching for another brand of cat food.

Great cat food!

Both of my picky cats love this cat food. I wasn't able to find it at my usual pet store, but Chewy got it to me very quickly.

Cat told me he thought it was like poop

My cat was NOT a fan of this. He literally smelled this and pawed at the ground next to it like he does in his litterbox. Overall it's a good value, but unfortunately, it was not a good fit for my cat.

Great for variety

I use this to add some variety to my cats diet. It is very difficult to find a beef flavored cat food these days, so I buy this sometimes so that my cats can get different types of protein in their diet.

Loves The Beef

It is so nice to find Beef cat food. Chicken is all that most manufactures make and chicken is certainly cheap because it is the bottom of barrel when it comes to protein for an animal. Weezie, my Russian Blue enjoys the beef, chicken, ocean and turkey. Doesn't like Seafood.

I have 4 cats and its a relief to have the large cans back. My cats seem to love it.

Horribly mushy food!

The quality of the food was terrible! This was the first time that I tried Triumph's Beef formula and I will never re-order it. The texture of the food was close to canned baby food. Very gross! Most of my cats who were willing to eat it threw it back up. What a mess. Never again!

Pate too dense

Cats seem to like the taste but it's a very thick pasty pate, would not come off the spoon I had to add lots water. When mixed with dry was even worse. It had no gravy whatsoever.

Cats love it

I feed a feral colony and used to use Friskies 13 ounce cans and was stuck when they discontinued that size. So happy to find the Triumph brand 13.2 ounce cans. I’ve used the beef and their turkey variety and they are both excellent. The food is compact, not watery, and each can feeds a good size portion to 7 cats. Will definitely continue buying these!
