The only cheap wet cat food without byproducts

    By on

When I choose food for my cats, I don't care about grain free (most grain free brands sub in other sources of carbs that are equally unnatural for cats to be eating! obviously the ideal is a pure meat diet with limited additional processing, but this becomes prohibitively expensive). What I do care about is minimal processing and no meat byproducts. Triumph is the ONLY cheap cat food brand that does this, the closest competitors are far more expensive. We have two kitties, one who eats pretty much everything and one who is a bit pickier and has a tendency to like more 'junk' cat food with heavy gravies and sauces (he would rather starve and lose weight than eat food he doesn't find appetizing When I choose food for my cats, I don't care about grain free (most grain free brands sub in other sources of carbs that are equally unnatural for cats to be eating! obviously the ideal is a pure meat diet with limited additional processing, but this becomes prohibitively expensive). We have two kitties, one who eats pretty much everything and one who is a bit pickier and has a tendency to like more 'junk' cat food with heavy gravies and sauces (he would rather starve and lose weight than eat food he doesn't find appetizing). We feed both of them Triumph (rotating flavors), but for the second cat we do need to mix in a bit of the unhealthy gravy-heavy foods to make him eat it. Nonetheless, we already notice a huge difference in the quality of his poops since converting him to this mixture (as opposed to when he was just eating the other food by itself). His stools used to be super wet and stinky, now they are well formed and far less pungent. I hope Triumph never stops making wet food, because if they do we'll be so much more broke! … more

Good alternative to Friskies DISCONTINUED big cans!

    By on

My cats seem to like the turkey better, but they gobbled up this one too. A bit pasty, but I mix it in with the dry food and they like it. I may add water or chicken no-salt broth for my indoor, but the outdoor like it. It is affordable, Made in America and no by-products!

    Good wet food

    By on

My cats really seem to like this wet food. The ingredients seem good and I really like the consistency of the pate all the way through the can. It is soft and great for my older cats. I would recommend this food and will be trying out the other flavors as well.

Cat with sensitive tummy loves it!

    By on

My Lily has always had a sensitive stomach. Recently her digestive system became so irritated that she couldn't even keep down her moistened prescription dry food. This has been working very well for her, though. She doesn't throw up at all and is once again excited for dinner. Yay! Plus it's more budget friendly than other canned foods I found that have simple ingredients and don't make her throw up. I ordered a case of turkey now and we'll see if that works for her, too. I wish more cat food came in big cans like this, both for monetary reasons and because it's more environmentally friendly than those tiny plastic packs.

    Was disappointed

    By on

Since we couldn't get the Friskies 13oz turkey and liver anymore, we decided to try this one. Smelled like more grain filler than anything. The cats (we have 5) were not real fond of it either. Probably won't buy again

    I wish they liked it...

    By on

Only 1 cat out of 10 will touch this. I tried mixing in other tasty smelly food to get them to eat it but it's a no go with this crew. Running out of large can options!

Serendipitous find, that the cats like better....

    By on

Chewy didn't have the usual Perina Friskies Canned Cat Food, so Triumph was suggested and lo and behold, they like it so much better and I'm not throwing away food they didn't eat since they are now cleaning the bowls...going to get more of this.

Lucky to get 5 cats to eat 1/2 a can.

    By on

Not well liked by my 5 cats, it looks better(uniform food/finer blend) than another brand with the same flavor in smaller cans but this is 'drier' other brand has more moisture and all the cats will eat it. Several will finish the smaller can from the other brand but not this. When I first open this I can get cats to eat a little but an hour or several later they barely eat any of it and later on in the day no one wants it and I'm lucky if I made it half way, usually 25-33% gets eaten then I have to hand it over to strays.
