  • Nice challenge , durable design

    By on

My pup is an uber-active play fanatic. She is pretty smart , so I decided to opt for a level 2 product , bypassing the "intro" level puzzle after reading that other dogs had easily figured them out and had gotten bored quickly. I am really glad I did. It took her a couple of tries , but she now knows the puzzle well. I keep it in a cabinet and pull it out every so often when Lucy needs a challenge and when I want to work on her focus and attention. GREAT product , dog and mama approved .

  • Great in theory

I was really excited about this purchase after watching videos of dogs interacting with it. We are always looking for new ways to mentally stimulate our German Shepherd, so we were hopeful. The toy itself is more appropriate for small-sized breeds, and I removed the orange cylinders altogether for fear that our girl would chew on them. For the interactive portion, it took all of 5 minutes for our Leica to pick up the toy by the bone levers and dump the treats out. This would be a great toy for a small dog that isn't the sharpest tool in the shed.

  • Seriously considering sending this back, if they allow it.

Those two cones that the dog is supposed to lift off - no skill needed! There is absolutely no resistance where they fit in the base and they don't go in that far. So my dog just takes her nose and knocks them over. The sliders she already knew. So I really don't think what I paid is worth the two knobs. It is sturdy.

  • Cute but not a challenge

This is level 2. I was glad I didn't see a level 1 because I may have bought it instead. First time out and my Cardigan did it in no time at all. Luckily she enjoys doing it so it wasn't a total waste but for some dogs it may not be much of a challenge. I would recommend it but warn that it may not be difficult for some dogs.

  • Unique and Fun

My mini Aussie likes these 'board' games. The holes are not very deep which means one has to use very small treats for the challenges to work properly, but he loves it. The cup/tower caps do not take a lot to move and he has them tipped over first. I don't care as he is happy.

  • Absolutely fun for every dog!

I loaded the toy, then released my dogs (individually) to find the food. The lab was a bit more hesitant, however my clicker trained English setter dived into it! No scrap of food was left behind. Our visiting dog, a terrier mix, decided to 'guard' it as she worked. I also teach puppy classes, so let the pups play with it. I found it to be a bonding experience for both pet parent and pup, as well a great use of the pup's problem solving abilities.

  • Great toy for small dogs

I got this for my miniature dachshund and he loves it. He learned very fast what to do to get to the treats. Unfortunately he chewed up one of the pins already. They might hold up with my older dog but not with the little one. Otherwise great toy.

  • This saved the day

My Dog is so picky he won't eat his food unless I mix it with some people food. This toy has changed that - he now eats his food plain as long as I put it in this or his other "treat toy". Thank you Chewy!! :)

  • My Bella LOVES IT!

    By on

My Golden Retreiver Irish Red Setter mix LOVES THIS. We purchased it to give her something to do that would avert her energy during thunderstorms and while our neighbor shoots his rifles as she is very afraid. She caught on so quick I have already found a new level of difficulty puzzle for her to order this month. Love love love it. Bella says thank you Chewy

  • My Chessies are smarter than your honor student

My dogs are curious, energetic and smart. They complete me as a human. That being said, both of them were intrigued by this toy. Food was a bonus, but not a requirement. It was such joy watching them problem solve. The flip doors were the highest achievement with the pegs being the lowest so it kept them curious. They did come back to the puzzle when prompted and it was fun having a toy that promoted human/dog partnership. My dogs are hunting dogs so on the off season, this helps keep them thinking. A plus!
