Continue to Canada siteThis toy makes me nervous because one of my cats (2year old) pushes his face into those spikes which pushes into his eyes. He’s still learning to use it i guess. But I definitely don’t feel ok leaving him alone with it which was my intention while i go to work. My senior cat also puts her whole mouth into the spikes and tries to bite them to get the treat. The balls are useless, can’t get anything out of them. Those squares, i only use the short ones because the cat paws don’t fit in the others and they try to hard to lick them out that it rubs on their little noses pretty hard. So basically i only use 1/2 of this toy puzzle..
This is a product my cat behaviorist recommended and my cat loves pawing at kibble in this puzzle feeder. He tends to just gobble kibble down and aside from that he is a very bored cat. This has provided great mental stimulation for him. We’ll leave kibble in there overnight too so he does wake us up in the middle of the night begging for food.
I bought this “toy” for my 3 year-old cat so he wouldn’t/couldn’t eat dry food so fast (faster than the other cats so he could then go eat their food). When the Board was delivered, I put his kibble in only one section so he could “work” and practice getting the food from that activity. The second day, I put food only in one other module. The third day, a new module, and the fourth day, the last one. He had a day to practice each task. Initially, since he was figuring it out, it took a fair amount of time to get all the food. Now, he has mastered the skills and has whittled down the time. It is still, however, fun to watch him map out how he’s going to get the food. A great game.
I put treats in this occasionally for my two cats. It was a little challenging for them the first time, but now it's not too difficult. They look adorable using it, though, and seem to prefer it to a more challenging puzzle that we have
It was a lot bigger than I thought it would be. That only makes it easier for my cat to reach in and grab the treats out and therefore making it not as challenging. Great quality and maybe even good for a really smart dog.
I got this for my chonk who refuses to play. Being the most food-driven cat I've ever encountered, this is the only thing that forces him to stand up and work for his food. It's stimulating for all my cats, though. They come running when I bring it out!
After reading lots of good reviews, I shelved my doubts and got this for my new super-bright kitten and older cat. The older cat ignored it completely - despite the treats scattered around. The ever-hungry, clever kitten managed to secure some treats but became bored and went back to playing with her tri-tunnel, which she loves. This board is a really dull game for cats. They like movement and all this is about is accessing food in new ways. Yawn.
im so happy I was recommended this. My three kittens had so much fun getting their treats. They were entertained for a long time with this, one of them would even jump at the board like he was hunting Lol It’s also better quality than I ever imagined. It’s sturdy and stays in place while three cats scratch at it. I came back to order another one but they’re out of stock So I’ll wait. Its deff worth it to get it
My cats love this! It occupies them for a while and they are able to get the treats out pretty easily. Great way to make them work for their food and it provides them with enrichment!
While I like the puzzle, the cups are made of glass and I noticed the edges around the top slightly breaking and cracking. This may be from putting the puzzle away but regardless I feel like glass is not the best idea here. I touched the area and small glass pieces came out. I'm concerned about safety of cats putting their paws around this.
