Trixie Cat Activity Strategy Game Tunnel Feeder challenges your cat during mealtime while slowing her eating—which can contribute to better digestion and nutrient absorption. Simply fill the center compartment with food or treats and it will automatically disperse into different tunnels where it must be teased out. The non-slip rubber rim keeps the feeder in place as your cat eats and explores. Trixie Cat Activity Strategy Game Tunnel Feeder is dishwasher safe for easy cleaning.

†Capacity is calculated by total volume. When using container, choose a capacity greater than what you need to prevent overfilling and spills.
Fill the compartment completely with dry cat food.
Hold the Tunnel Feeder sideways in a horizontal position. Turn the adjustable pin back downwards so far that the storage areas for the 3 tunnels and the 3 tubes are filled and no more food crumbs are trickling down.
Place the Tunnel Feeder at the desired location.
Refill the food storage compartment completely with food again and close the lid. The cat can now pry the food out of the tubes with its paws and feed at its own chosen pace through active exercise.
Tip: Should a piece of food get jammed in the food storage compartment, twist the pin as far down as is necessary to clear the jam.
I love this concept! My cats are now pros at scooping their food out. My chubbier cat has lost weight now that he has to work a little bit harder for his food.
The one thing that could be improved would be the size of the gap from the storage at top to the lower feeder. It should be much larger so that food falls down with east. My cats' diet gets stuck at the top and we've tried 3 different brands.
The cats easily learned how to use this

This play feeder breaks down for easy cleaning. The cats quickly and easily learned how to use it. The center portion contains a corkscrew that you can raise or lower to allow larger food to be used.
The only reason this is being given a four star review is because the lid is very tight. I never snap it fully on. This is still a great item and exactly what I was looking for.
No more Cookie Monster eating.

I bought this bowl because my 8 month old kitten was chowing down like a German Shepard. This bowl has slowed him down. The 2 yo and the 16 yo have also figured it out. I give it a 4 bc the kibble does get stuck and I have to shake it down and their kibble is small also.
Dry food/treats don't dispense.

With three cats, I am always looking for new ways to feed them to keep them happy. Figured with four stars that this would be great. Or dry food (Farmina and Tiki Cat) don't fit through the dispenser. Having to shake it is a little annoying. Would not recommend and less you have a very small kibble.
Great for One or Two Cats
on Nov 11, 2018
I think that the product is great! However, I gave it 3 stars because I think it is great for one or two cats. I have three and after a few attempts one of my cats was not getting his fair share so I went back to their regular bowls. I even tired using two of these. As I said, I would recommend this item for one or two cats.

Love this product. Helps my cats eat slower so they don't throw up and keeps them occupied while I'm at work! It's so fun to watch them dig the food out too. Only downside would be they kind of make a mess using it. Still very worth getting.

This was something new to my cat so it naturally took us a while to get use to. It's great & keeps her active while eating. Something to improve is the cap to the container. It's hard to get off! I don't seal it completely to solve that. Otherwise, it's great!!
Flawed design = frustrated cats

One out of my three cats figured this out. The other two just stare at it and walk away. If the white base were wider, lower, and had less of a lip this might work better. It's too narrow for a cat face or paw.
Ideal for fast eaters

Only criticism is if you put a lot of food in the center, you will have to manually push the food down into the funnel. It would be nice if the product would auto rotate to dispense the food.

I wouldn't purchase this as the only source of a feeder. The food doesn't fall easily for the cats to get to it. When it is on the bottom it does the trick though.
