Description

Trixie Dog Activity Chess Toy provides the perfect outlet for your dog’s energy and curiosity. Ideal for the advanced canine gamer, it rewards your pet for correctly opening various compartments. Simply hide your dog’s favorite treats in the compartments and watch as she uses her intellect to get to them. Due to the unique design, the cones cannot be knocked over and must be lifted straight up to be removed for an added challenge. Vary the number and placement of treats to increase the level of difficulty. The non-slip rubber feet keep the game in place as your dog explores. Trixie Dog Activity Chess Toy is dishwasher safe for easy cleaning.

    Medium difficulty

    By on

My dog loves food puzzles and I was looking for one more challenging than a food ball. This puzzle can be leveled easy to medium based on where you put the treats. He worked through it fairly quickly but it’s a good toy to add to the rotation.

Great Toy for a Quick Focus

    By on

My young Lab loves this game. He noses and paws it to get the treats and it doesn't take him long to empty the contents- less than a minute. It is a good game to focus his play.

    Keeps our dog busy...

    By on

It took our dog a bit of getting used to, but she really enjoys this toy. It's fun to watch her figure out how to slide the pieces. The pads on the bottom stop the base from slipping and scratching our floor. Our dog's tail starts wagging right away when she hears us putting treats in the puzzle! One tip would be to use a treat with a potent smell to teach your dog how to slide the doors. We used mini Milkbones at first, but found her Zukes, in rabbit flavor, worked much better!

    Great puzzle!

    By on

My 11 month old GR loves this puzzle! It's also nice to have a few different ways to play with it making it easy and then more challenging. This is her first puzzle and it's fun to see her get excited when I pull it out.

Toy does not match the description

    By on

I purchased the Move2Win toy a couple months ago and my puppy has mastered it. After reading the following description <<Due to the unique design, the cones cannot be knocked over and must be lifted straight up to be removed for an added challenge.>>, I decided to purchase the Chess toy to further challenge my schnauzer. Since the cones can be knocked over easily I don't think is as challenging as the Move2Win. I am hoping the manufacturer will send me a set of cones matching the description. Otherwise, I will return the toy for a refund. I should note that all Trixie toys with cones have the same description. I did not catch the error on the first toy. My dog put a couple teeth markes in one of the cones before I took it away. Fortunately, it still functions as new. … more

    Brilliant Interactive Game

    By on

My dog got very excited in the middle of our first training session. the game is decently heavy-duty so he couldn't tear it up easily but you should be careful not to leave him alone with it. Chess is our family game. we will be patient but looking forward to progressing thru the levels.

Definitely worth it for my dog

    By on

My dog really likes this, it took him a few tries to figure it out but he loves it and it's really easy to set up when he needs to be entertained.

    Really cute

    By on

It takes some training to show them what they need to do so it makes it a "bonding" activity but that's what I love most about it. He still has trouble (1.5 weeks) with the sliding plates but it's so cute watching him try. The cones he nailed in no time. Note, this is a "stage 3" toy. I probably should have started him with a "Stage 1" or "2" but we're having fun either way. It's a great interactive toy for both of us. <3

    Disappointed

    By on

The toy specifically says the cones cannot be knocked over and must be picked up, but this is not the case. It takes my pup less than one minute to find the treats. I had such high hopes for this toy.
