TRIXIE Parla 24.4-in Fleece Cat Scratching Post

Not as advertised - false advertisement

We bought two of these at once. We bought this particular one because it was a supposed to be all ONE piece for the scratch post. The outside of the box received (packaging) and this site shows all ONE piece. The directions have you placing another carpeted piece between the the two scratch posts. This is not what I wanted or ordered. If you remove or choose not to add the carpeted center piece you are stuck with an ugly unroped section that shows nothing but cardboard. I would have sent them back but it’s more of a hassle to take them apart, repackage them, and then find a place to drop them off (not exactly a lot out where we live). Since they weren’t super expensive, we choose to keep them. Our cats do not like this type as it blocks their scratching area. They prefer to use another one we have that has one big open scratching area (the one we were trying to replace cause our old one is falling apart).

This is great!

My cat really likes this thing! It's the perfect size for her and it lasts about a year before it starts to look a little worse-for-wear. I wish the company sold either replacement posts so I don't have to get the baseboard too, or even a roll of the rope so I can replace it myself. I tried to re-wrap with new sisal but my cat doesn't like the texture nearly as much. Please offer replacement options other than buying a whole new one!

Don't buy this!

Post comes in 2 poorly constructed pieces. Doesn't come as pictured. Has that fuzzy piece in the m8ddle like the cheaper one. Staples are visible and the sisal is not tightly wrapped. Already planning my next post purchase in person so I can check the quality and construction. Very disappointed.

Great cat towers

Two towers at a great price. Simple to assemble. Very sturdy and stay level when cat is clawing them. The rope is very good, intact so far.Much better than the huge, expensive towers. I have one on each level of house. Our cat uses them both daily.

Great Scratcher!

My cat really loves his new scratching post! He actually has one bigger and one smaller than this one...but he seems to use this one the most, so it must be just right! It has a large base which makes it very stable. I can't speak as to how it will hold up in the future, as we've only had it a couple of weeks. So far though it's held up well and it was a great value for the price.

The Trixie scratching post is reasonably priced. It arrived unassembled. Assembly was very easy, and the construction is very sturdy. My cat enjoys using this scratching post.

My babies absolutely love the scratching post. They sat and watched me set it up, then were All over it. Still are many times a day. Worth every cent I paid for it. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Cats love it. Good scratcher.

I have 3 cats. All of them have used it every day since I received it. This one has a larger base than my previous one and it works much better. The old one had a tendency to tip when they used it. So far this one seems more stable.

Cheaply designed Scratching post

It seems like we just got this and our one cat stopped using it because of a poor center of balance which caused it to keep falling over on him, and the other cat managed to knock the post from the cheaply made portable board base. I hope I get a full refund for this because this is the only issue I've had as a long time customer.

Nice scratching post

I bought this to replace an old, tired scratching post. Of course, as any cat owner knows, there's always the fear that the cat(s) will not use the new post. I'm happy to say my "young lady" is very satisfied with her new scratching post. I think it looks nice and seems very sturdy. Worth the price.
