This item is not useful for my animals because of it being steep when put against the bed or couch. If I put it wedged under the mattress a little, it looks better but I question the stability. I'm afraid it would slip out and then traumatize my dog. I will be experimenting because the ramp is very sturdy itself and could be great if I can stabilize it.

We bought this ramp for our puppy to be able to walk outside down two steps when he got too heavy for us to easily carry in and out. It's worked perfectly for what we needed. The rough texture of the ramp helps with traction.

my max is learning to go up and down his ramp to get in and out of the cari just wish it was a little longer to reach the seat but other than that it is great.
Great option for small dog (6-lb)

When Tori, our rescue toy Aussie, came to us, I had a Solvit ramp (folding) for her to use. It worked wonderfully for us indoors and out, however we moved to a smaller place and needed a shorter ramp. "Trixie" works very well. Tori's new game? Running up and down, as fast as she can, carrying her favorite toy, a whiffle ball....

I bought this ramp to use with a large dog that has a problem jumping into the car. You can't place it as it's shown in the picture at the side door. We have to use it at the back gate and get a running start to get up the incline. I would have returned it had it not been for Covid 19. We need to drive our dogs out of our town to another less congested place and needed a solution for lifting a 70 lb. Lab into the car every day. Even if it fit the side door the incline is very steep. This is sturdy and seems well constructed but just not long enough to have a gentle incline. None of the photo examples of use show how steep it really is.

I like it much better than the heavy folding one with no sides to prevent slipping off. It holds my 90 lb dog easily. She still slid some but I'm taking a suggestion and gluing carpet to it for better traction. Fits easily in my back floorboard for easy access.
Well made, but my dog refuses to use it.

I purchased this because I noticed my almost 11 year old border collie hesitating to jump into the back seat of my car. I've tried over and over to train her to go up/down the ramp, but she refuses. I did prop it up again the cat tree at some point and noticed that the cat that's almost a year old uses it to climb up the cat tree, but that really wasn't what I bought it for. I want my dog to put less strain on her joints to keep her moving around without pain in her older age. Maybe she will use it when she feels she has no other choice, but I was hoping she'd use it to prevent her from getting to that point. I think I'll try to get her some steps instead.
Pet ramp, short

It seems like it is made well, but it does have a pretty steep incline. I can't get our old dog to use it. I purchased it to help her navigate two steps at our back door, but she absolutely refuses to use it. She'd rather struggle with the steps, or just let her humans pick her up and carry her. I'd like to return ramp.
Think about whether or not your pet will actually use it before buying.

Very pleased with the ramp I ordered, works just the way I hoped it would. Now my pet Chico can get on the couch without my help.

This is great for indoors or out. It is steep, but works well for 2-3 steps. Haven't tried for a bed, but us great for a couch.
