If I add this to my pet’s water fountain, how much should I add? Should I do a teaspoon for every 8 ounces? How often should I add it?

If you are using a carbon/charcoal based filter, it can filter out active ingredients. We recommend simply removing the carbon/charcoal filter. The actively flowing water will still be fresh when using the Pet Dental Water Additive. If you are using a mesh type filter, there is no need to remove it, it will still work perfectly. Simply add one tablespoonful (one cap full) to your pet’s water bowl (approximately every 16oz) every time you refill it.

This product has a 5 year shelf life. The expiration date can be found on the bottom of the bottle.

As long as the additive and water is mixed in the proper proportion beforehand, it can be added to food.

Tropiclean Fresh Breath Works!

I have been using this for both my indoor cats, and the ferals I'm taking care of outside. I'm not able to brush even the indoor cat's teeth, and forget it with the feral cats, who some won't even come near me. This is an additive you put in their water (follow directions for the amount to use). Both the large bottle, and the small squirt bottle that is the same product but condensed, seem to work. Although I can't open their mouth to see their teeth, the feral cats look good. When I've brought my indor cats to the vet, there is never a problem mentioned with their teeth.

Empty bottle

Bottle was placed in a box with 40lbs of Cat Litter = Smashed. Can't recommend, I have no idea if it's any good.

Cats won't drink water with this in it

All of my cats would sniff their water after I added this per the instructions, and they wouldn't drink it at all.

Dental Concerns

After our Vet told us that our 6 yr old cat gas tarter on his teeth and we should consider a cleaning. I asked what it would cost and I was told $2000. I knew that the new thinking is a promotion on brushing our pets teeth. I asked if there was anything else I could do when I set up my auto ship with Chewy. That was when I was told about fresh breath Dental Health liquid water additive. This is our first bottle and we haven’t had any adverse response from our cats. We will probably order the larger size and add it to our auto ship every month.

Fresh Breath

The fur babies enjoy it and don't even know it's added to their water fountain. It foams some if the fountain runs so I unplugged it and that eliminates the foam - which doesn't hurt them. Works great to freshen their breath.

Fresh Breath Water Additive

This product is wonderful. I put this in TomTom's water every morning and he drinks throughout the day. After eating wet food, dry food and his treats, his breath is usually pretty bad. However, this product gives his breath a fresh, clean smell.

Tropiclean Water additive

I've been using this for several years. I just noticed the one I prefer has a skin additive and is only for dogs, so I ordered one just for cats this time. My one female cat was a mess. She had clumped hair on her back. After using the one with skin additive, her hair and skin are now smooth without clumps.

My cat is tolerating this.

My cats vet urged us to try this product as the cat is almost 17 and probably can't go thru a dental procedure. I was worried he would not drink the water but he is drinking it. We just started using so I don't know long term results but it can't hurt to try.
