    So far so good.

We were dealing with a moderate flea infestation. I’m the only one who gets bit! When my sweet old cat passed away a few weeks ago the fleas went absolutely nuts and I found them all over my bedding, they were hitching rides on my clothes & I was getting bit even outside of the house! I was finding fleas in my shoes and on my clothes at work!! I just got the spray earlier today and doused the carpets & furniture thoroughly. First day in 6 weeks I haven’t been attacked. No new bites after several hours spent in the infested room, can’t be a coincidence. I think for my needs it’s working. We’ll see how things go in the next few days after I wash all of the bedding, couch cover etc. The smell is We were dealing with a moderate flea infestation. I’m the only one who gets bit! Almost smells like a citronella candle but not as irritating. The bottle has a stream/spray option and came nicely shrinkwrapped to avoid leaks in transit. The stuff is pricey but it appears to be effective, at least so far, for our needs. … more

    Pleasantly Surprised

I rarely write reviews but thought this was worth it and I am not being paid. I have a toy poodle and a Jackabee (part Jack Russel and part Beagle). So one short hair shedder and one long haired dog. That is important to the review. Two days ago we discovered the Jackabee had a few fleas. This is the first time in almost 6 years of having dogs we have ever had fleas. My guess is that we recently moved into a wooded area from an urban area. It was late so I Googled home remedies and gave them both a vinegar bath. We changed their crate bedding and then yesterday on the way home from work I stopped at the pet store and searched for something natural to help clear the house of any lurking and rid I rarely write reviews but thought this was worth it and I am not being paid. We changed their crate bedding and then yesterday on the way home from work I stopped at the pet store and searched for something natural to help clear the house of any lurking and rid the boys. I hadn’t really looked at the poodle yet because he is due for a groom and so his hair is quite long. I came across the Tropiclean line and got the spot spray, shampoo and carpet powder. I also got Advantix. We gave the boys a good soak with the shampoo (left on for 10 min) and then started looking with the flea comb. Banjo the Jackabee still had about 15-20. We combed them out, sprayed him down with the spray, then gave him the advantix treament. The poodle was a different story. He still had many crawling around in his long hair. I grabbed the spot spray and began spraying the areas where we saw them and it did kill them on site. We continued this and as it lathered we rubbed it into his skin/hairs. Gross alert, they were dead but stuck in his hair. After this long process we gave him advantix and cleaned their crates again, using the spray there too. This am Banjo was tick free! Having short hair really seemed to help. Tyler still had just a few roaming around- so I sprayed again with the spot treament. As for the carpet, I waited a few hours after applying the powder and vacuumed. It has only been a day so I will update to see if there is longevity. The smell is super strong, especially using the carpet powder. Not horrible, but strong. I’m hoping we caught it in time and it is a closed chapter. … more

    Fabulous!!

I can't believe I actually found a non toxic flea spray that actually WORKS! I saved my receipt because I was pretty sure when I first bought it that I'd be taking advantage of their money back guarantee. Instead I'm buying more and will be a customer for life! I was looking mainly for a spray that I could use if I saw a live flea on my dogs, that would kill the flea immediately on being sprayed, and this works like a charm. And ingredients milder than most human shampoos! Very pleased.

It seems to be working well inside the house. As long as we use every other day and vacuum carpet prior. Nice fragrance of essential oils.

Safe chemical free flea control for our dog

    By on

We used this product and it works. Our pup had a minor flea problem - we don’t like using any chemical based products. She takes garlic tablets for prevention. We doubled up on the garlic tabs (bug off) and sprayed the carpets several times. Problem gone!

    Very Effective!

Pros: Natural; Kills fleas successfully; Can use this on both hard and soft surfaces Cons: Be aware that this product is made from essential oils, and has a strong spiced-citrus scent; test first before spraying on surfaces that are varnished or may not be colourfast, etc. Also test this for skin sensitivity so that you can avoid a contact reaction if you have sensitive skin and your pets spend lots of lap time. TIPS: Your pets may run from the cold spray. If you are not sensitive to this product, spraying it into your hands, then rubbing the product on against the direction of growth of your pet's fur seems very effective for really killing the fleas. If your pets come in via a porch, it may be helpful to spray your patio furniture cushions and entry rug with this product -- this seems to help pets bring in fewer fleas with a bonus of helping to deter mosquitoes in these areas. Also, the home and pet spray are the same; so I recommend that customers buy this larger bottle for the best value! OVERALL: I highly recommend this product. I would purchase this spray again. … more
