Hot spot or something similar

My little girl is 14 years old and never had a hot spot but developed 1. Used other over-the-counter products with pain reliever and she still chewed at which prolong the healing. Soon as I put this on it started drying up and it suit her as far as irritating it and she slept good. I bought one for both My little girl is 14 years old and never had a hot spot but developed 1. Cat Won't Let Me Go Near Her With THIS

This might be a good product but I don't know. As soon as the cat hears the spray, and now recognizes the container, she RUNS AWAY. Maybe I'll try spraying it into a little custard dish and then applying it with my hand.
