True Acre Foods All-Natural Dental Chew Sticks Mint Flavor Dental Dog Chews

My Bulldog loves the other flavors these dental treats come in (bacon and beef) but they always gave her loose stool. I was cautious on trying this flavor but since she loves the others so much I bought the bag. It did cause loose stool for maybe 1 or 2 days but then her stools returned to normal. My other 2 puppies were also given these treats and their stools were completely normal. So I think this flavor is winner for all the dogs in the house. Only downside is my dogs eat like their starving and end up devouring the stick in less than 5 minutes. So I can't comment on the effect for teeth health or breath since they eat it too fast to make a difference (in my opinion). But I feel good about their tummy health that I will purchase again in future.

Some Kind of Magic Dog Treat

Our lab/heeler is fussy, boy is she fussy, and not a fan of sitting when asked. But my oh my dig this bag our and she runs into the kitchen, sits on her butt and when handed the treat delicately removes it from my hand and chews it carefully and thoughtfully in full. So, if you need your rambunctious pup (she's a 30lb pup!) to give you five minutes of peace and behave like a Havard educated animal this here is your ticket. NOTE: Results may vary and normal behaviour resumes when the treat is complete :)

Mint issue

The other flavors are great, my dogs love them. The mint flavor seems to mold very quickly even in unopened bags. The 2 stars is specifically because of the mold issue with the mint. We will continue to buy the order flavors.

True Acre Mint Flavored All Natural Dental Treats

I have 2 rescues and they both love these dental treats. I have to keep them stocked. Tasty and they do help keep their teeth clean and healthier.

Nice treats

I was skeptical about our dog eating something mint flavored but thankfully she loves it. Even better, there’s a noticeable difference in her breath after having them for about a week.

Chew Sticks

Mikey absolutely loves these chew sticks. He tosses in air and than attacked as he munches on them.

I bought two flavors to try and my dogs love both. However for one of my dogs, the mint causes a touch of loose stool shortly after so I'll stick with the bacon flavor for her. These are a good value for the price, especially because they are easy to break into smaller pieces for smaller dogs. If you love the mint smell, I also recommend Minties. I bought a bag of these from Chewy around the same time when trying out dental treats. They are mintier and don't cause the loose stool.

Check bag for rubber glove

Dog liked them but did not notice any change in her breath. Got about 1/2 way through the bag and found part of a blue glove. Hopefully there was not any loss of fingers that day. Will try them again sometime.

I opened the bag and these dental treats were hard. I broke one in half and thought maybe that is how they are supposed to be because I had never bought them before. I tried to cut the treats with a knife and was unable to cut through them. I gave 1/2 of a treat to both of my female 75lb dogs and a whole one to my 80lb dog at 5pm. I held the girls treat in my hand while they chewed off pieces because i was worried that they would choke if given the 1/2 piece. By 9pm all three dogs had bad diarrhea smelling gas and one of my dogs was panting like she had an upset stomach. Then, my largest dog was unable to go #2 for 24 hours. Now, 2 days later both of my female dogs are fine but my male dog is still straining and constipated. He is only 2.5 years old and has never strained or been constipated so I am worried that pieces of this treat are stuck and he might need to see a vet. Never again. Buy at your own risk.
