With other foods, it seemed like they'd change recipe & it resulted in tummy upsets for my dogs. Have had "my kids" on True Acre for well over a year & as long as they don't "fix" anything, I'll keep coming back!!
I went to Chewy to find a food that was good and had a nice sized kibble. I have two beagles, and luckily the other dog could eat almost a whole bag left over of the brand Sam found unappealing because the kibble was very small.. This dog food brand has a medium size, which he likes.
Absolutely insane that this has almost doubled in price with no warning. Not the first time Chewy has pulled this move on my autoship order either. I'm done with this company. There are plenty of alternatives out there now.
I understand inflation and that everything is going up, but the price has increased at almost 100%! The first time I bought it, I paid $30 because of the autoship coupon, the second time, it was $40, then it went up to $55 and now it's $70?! This is ridiculous and the whole point of Chewy was that you can get good, quality items for cheaper because it's a warehouse instead of a store. Well, I can get grain-free food in a store for cheaper and support a local business than pay this much for it. It was a decent food, but this really is ridiculous that prices are almost 100% increased in less than a year.
Ok food has become very expensive. I don't see glucosamine and chondroitin listed anymore either except one one type.
We have bought the beef before....thought we would rotate with this. Our dog loves it!
Price went up $30.00 -$40.00 per bag without the decency of chewy.com sending me a courtesy notification of this price increase. Original order was approximately $42 for a 40lb bag. I checked my credit card statement and current price is $70 for 40lb bag. So much for the autoship 5% discount. Buyer beware
The dog food is fine. Both bags I received had a small hole on each side at the top. I think it happened at the manufacturers sight. I am not ordering it again because this may affect the freshness.
I would give 5 stars if I was warned the price was going up. Being on auto ship you normally don’t look at the price as you set up for auto ship for a reason. This food is great for my dogs but it started out at 40 bucks and now it’s at $70 dollars.
I bought this food for my 4 dogs for a long time and it was wonderful. They all loved it and it helped me give me quality food to 4 dogs at a great price. Now that they’ve increased the price, it’s no longer worth buying. It’s increased from $40 a bag to $70.
