Will this work for a deaf dog

To painlessly stop bad behavior, this deterrent mat emits a 85-decibel beep to ward of wandering pets. This deterrent will not effect deaf animals.
Would this be suitable to keep outside dogs off the porch? Is it ok for it to be outside and exposed to weather?

Worked great!

We have new leather furniture and when we would receive a delivery the 2 dogs would fight for position on the couches to protect the neighborhood lol. They were scratching the leather and we didn't want it destroyed. In just a couple days they no longer jump on the furniture and we are able to just lay the scram pads on the couches turned off and they won't get on them. Success!

Not enough for wily pets

We got this to keep our dog off of a new sofa. At first it seemed great, covered most of the expanse of the sofa's seating area, and beeped loudly when we tested it by tapping. Dog seemed to be avoiding the sofa after a couple of beeping demos. Over time, however, it became apparent that he had been sneaking around the mat and somehow jumping onto the sofa's arms and getting to the top cushion part of the sofa (we knew this after finding cushions compressed and decorated with dog hair). We are kind of impressed by this, to be honest, since he's almost 13 years old and not a small dog. Perhaps the solution might be to get multiple mats and cover all expanse of the sofa, but I have a feeling he might figure out how to get around that, too. Where there's a will, there's a way.

The Sofa Scram works!

I purchased two for a sectional. When I unpacked the box, they looked so cheap, I never actually thought they would work. But they do! And I have a determined dog. I have tried spiky mats, cardboard boxes, laundry baskets. He would just push them out of the way. I would definitely recommend these mats.

Works great!

I bought this to keep my 80 lb lab/retriever off of my new couch. She jumped up on it once and heard the beep and ran off. She hasn't attempted to go on the couch since.

Works well for noise sensitive dogs

These worked great for my dog who is afraid of loud noises especially beeping. We bought three (one large and two medium) to cover our large couch. As soon as we pull these out she leaves the room having experienced the loud beeping from them just once. I don’t think we even need to turn them on anymore. If your dog is bothered by a smoke alarm going off, these will work for you.

Puppy thinks it’s a game

Does not deter puppy from jumping on bed or couch. He believes it is a game and now seeks out where I have laid a mat (bought 2) to bark and jump and attempt to get around the mat as to limit the alarm. Would not recommend.

It worked!

I have two Great Danes that claimed property of our leather sofas. The pets sofa scram gave us our sofas back and returned our dogs to their elevated beds. As room for improvement, I would just add a system to turn the alarm off after continuously sounding for a period of time. I came home an found the dogs barking and running like crazy while the alarm was going on constantly. They attempted to come in the sofa and it was bended over. They definitely were scared. It sounds like a fire alarm!

Worked like a charm!

These are incredible. We just got a new couch and were so worried the dogs would jump on it. We tested out these mats and they work perfectly. After setting them off a couple of times, the dogs don't even attempt it. We're buying more for other problem areas in the house!

Pet Deterrent Mat

When I had my 6 mos. kitten he jumped over the pet deterrent mats. I think the pet deterrent mats should be made wider in width. The pet deterrent mats I have are narrow in width and that's why my 6 mos. kitten jumped or walked over the mats.

Perfect for new sofas

We have had these a while now after purchasing new sofa's, work perfectly. Lay them out and smooth them down, without the power on. Turn on, once the sneaky dog goes to curl up you hear a very loud tone, our labs quickly jumped off. Saving our investment without "zapping" our dogs. We don't even turn them on any longer just lay them out.
