I live in the country but travel with the dogs. Since they are mostly off leash, they do not get much leash training. But this works great especially the bungee for my 90lb Shepard mix since it gradually adds tension. Would buy again but prolly won't have to unless he chews through it.
I used one of these when I was dog walking professionally and now I have one for walking my own dog. It's great for extra stability if your dog is strong and pulls when excited about something or if you have shoulder/back problems and want to take the strain off of those areas.
I give 3, maybe 4. I bought it a year ago and it finally reached its end. It was better for my little dogs rather than big dogs. I wouldn't use it as a training leash, because my German shepherd has it hanging by a thread now.
I've used a "normal" leash with my year-and-a-half old Australian Shepherd ever since we first got her, and have never had issues with it. The idea of running with her has always been interesting to me, though, so I decided to buy this leash to start training her to run. Unexpectedly, this has become both of our new favorite leash, and we use it all the time now! I love being able to let go completely without needing to worry about losing her, and she likes the greater level of freedom that the stretchiness provides. Having the leash flex a bit helps her understand when she's coming up on the furthest she can get from me, since there's no longer either "no slack" or "all the slack" with nothing in between. Additionally, since she's often tethered at home as part of training, the hands-free leash means I don't have to be holding the leash or have it wrapped around my thigh just to know where she is. I can't recommend it enough!
This works very well for running. It’s a good distance and the right amount of stretch. It has the (I think, necessary) close handle, as well. I wouldn’t use it on walks, especially if they’re a tugger because the stretch encourages her to pull more, but perfect for running!
Definitely would get this leash, your search is over. I run with my dogs and have spent so much money on every overpriced running leash on the market and my searched finally was over when I received this leash. It is perfect in every single way.
I use this leash daily with my golden retriever and it is fantastic.
With a large, skittish dog, I feel like I have more control.
Great for dogs who are very extroverted. Comes in different colors and the green is pretty cute and reflective! Pretty durable for tugging and nice for walking/strolling. I finally found the one leash that works and can be hands free
Love the double strap!! Love the double strap!! Love the double strap!! Love the double strap!! Love the double strap!!
