Incredibly Too Small
I recently ordered a medium having taken my cat the vet to be weighed & measured 10.4lbs, 15" length; she's 5 yrs old. Based on your size chart I ordered medium & it's way too small. Many other reviews have the same complaint. It's adorable & wish it fit. I've consider ordering a large & extra large to see if it fits better but based on this experience I'm afraid they won't fit either. Chewy was great with the return; credited my credit card & told me to donate it a shelter which I will do. My suggestion is to revise the size chart since so many reviews have the same complaint about size. Don't know if Chewy would be as generous with return again if larger sizes don't fit either & it would put me back to square 1. I'm so disappointed. And many reviews said they shrink in the wash, making the garment even smaller.
Nice but does not work
This seems to be sewed in the crotch backwards from what directions show. It will not work the way it is sewed
Onesie XL recovery
Item worked really well for us after our dogs neuter. It’s a lot of snaps but once you get the hang of it it’s not bad. My dog had a couple loose BMs due to the meds and this kept it all contained until I could get to him. It allowed us to remove the cone at night and let him rest. Our dog is a Australian blue heeler/ Australian Shepard mix at 10 mo weighs 50 lbs and we got an XL. I originally got the xxl due to comments but the size difference was huge. Also as far as shrinkage, I ran mine in the dryer as it is a thick material under the belly and it didn’t shrink. It also has some stretch to it. So you can enlarge it some. Very pleased. Only downfall was the price, as you could really use two. I managed with one.
Houdini secret identity: my dog
I got this for my old chihuahua that pees himself a bit most nights, not as a post-op outfit, so keep that in mind. I’m judging this for long term use. There are a lot of pros about this item so I feel bad rating it only 3 stars: the quality and durability seem great, the fabric is soft and slightly stretchy, the ability to adjust the size so specifically is unparalleled, I was so impressed by that. The snaps are a bit confusing sometimes, but you can customize the size a lot, which is great. So this fit my chihuahua perfectly, I thought, and somehow he kept getting it off during the night. Still sounds impossible to me, I can’t figure out how he was doing it. I even tailored it more myself by sewing the leg holes and head hole smaller, and with all the snaps up and it fitting snug to the skin, he was still getting it off. I’m baffled hahaha. But this has ended up essentially useless for us.
so much better than the cone
These PJs made recovery so much more comfortable for our pup. It is 100% worth it. He would itch a little on the outside of the garment once the shaved area on his belly started growing hair back but we just had to redirect his attention and it was fine. He had a 6 inch incision on his belly with staples and this let him heal perfectly! So glad I got it! I got one of these and one of another brand, both worked well and it was really important to alternate so I could wash them and put a clean one on daily. This one covers a little more since it’s short sleeves which is nice. There is a potty flap, there’s quite a few buttons but nothing too difficult. It’s not tight or restrictive on the belly area if that is your pups surgical site and you want to give it some breathing room/not rub.

I had my puppy fixed, and I was told to put the blow-up tube around her neck to keep her from licking. She looked miserable wearing it then I ordered the dog pullover shirt, and it was the BEST! Super easy to put on I could adjust the snaps so she could use the restroom without me taking it off every time. I certainly recommend it your pet will love you for it!
Shrank in the wash!
Great little outfit for post spay recovery for shih-poo. Only complaint is it shrank when I washed it before use. It still fit more or less, it was definitely shorter in the body than the initial try on before washing. Maybe order a size up if your dog is borderline size wise. Ordered a Med. for 12 lb shipoo
Wonderful surgical pajamas!
I absolutely love these surgical pajamas; however, the sizing can be a little off. I have an 11 lb Havanese that I bought the small last year for surgery for a luxating patella. I could not get the very last snaps underneath to snap because it was a little tight; however, I kept them because they covered her leg. Now she is having a liver biopsy and I bought the medium because I needed to make sure the bottom flap would completely cover her belly with no worries. This was really the size I should have started with because they are adjustable through the width and fit perfectly. She fit every measurement for the small so I do think the size chart is questionable.
