I'm writing this mostly to say that the meat in my package did NOT look grey after cooking. I read this in another review and it almost swayed me not to buy it; and though it may appear greyish when frozen, when cooked it looks like normal chop meat. Definitely don't give too much at first as suggested, I gave a bit too much and my 6lb pup (Biewer) had loose stool the following morning. She's doing fine now, but I also give her quality kibble as well and will continue to do so. It even makes a yummy treat still frozen. I don't find it smells bad either, and I'm vegetarian. The expiration date is a year ahead so if you keep it frozen it should last a while. I'd buy again if on sale, but will continue I'm writing this mostly to say that the meat in my package did NOT look grey after cooking. • Neither dog will eat it.

    By on

My small dogs would not eat it. It smelled good to me and I even tasted it and it tasted fine. The dog that is allergic to chicken and needed this kind of food actually turned his head away when ever I tried to get him to taste it. I mixed in some crumbled hamburger and my other less picky dog would go through it and eat only the burger. I have made beef and brown rice for them and the allergic dog will eat that. I guess I have to stick with cooking for my dogs. I gave only 3 stars because I don't know if this is just my dogs' problem. ( sort of nuetral -don't know answer)

  • A winner at last

FINALLY - My very picky Maltese mix loves mealtime. I have been trying for over a year to find something she likes. Everyone told me to just let her go hungry until she decided to eat what I gave her. I could not stand to do that so I was mixing her food with cheese and table scraps just to get her to eat a few bites. I have tried just about every kind of dog food made - she pretty much turned her nose up at everything. I started searching the internet for something I thought she might eat. I came upon Tylee's and decided to get a bag of the beef. The ingredients were so healthy, I was impressed. I could not believe my eyes when I gave her the first dish. • Definitely try for finicky eaters!

    By on

I have a Doberman that was originally my foster that I adopted. She was ~20 lbs underweight when rescued. Even with multiple day feedings I was unable to put weight on her mostly due to the fact that she would take a few bites of her food then just walk away. I am feeding a 5 star dry food. She turned her nose up faster if canned food was added. I decided to try Tylees beef and she LOVES it! I cannot afford to feed it as a sole diet but going with half dry and half Tylees, she cleans her bowl. The food looks and smells amazing. I am now a Tylees autoship customer.

  • The Dobes give it two paws up!

    By on

I bought this as a dry food topper to add variety and good nutrition to their food. They LOVE it, and I like that it is fresh, with predominantly meat protein with a little bit of veggies/carbs, just like I would do if adding table scraps, but this is a balanced diet with added vitamins and minerals. It came in its own shipment with dry ice to keep it frozen, and is easy to keep in the freezer and serve multiple meals from the bag. Reasonable cost too!

Chewy had BOGO on tylees. I oredered a bag and for some reason I just assumed it would automatically add my free bag. Well, it didnt and I realized i needed to add it to my cart. I tried to cancel my order and reorder but there wasn't an option. So, I called customer service and they were so helpful! They added the other bag to order and even asked about my dog! I love their customer service!!

  • A huge hit with my chihuahua

    By on

I took advantage of the bogo free promotion and I'm glad I did. I purchased the beef and chicken flavors. My chihuahua is very picky eater. I have tried so many kind of wet food but she had no interest in any of it. I even attempted to make home cook food for her but I must be a horrible cook because she did not want to eat it either. When she is really hungry, she is hesitant to eat orijen and wellness trufood kibbles. These bags arrived very carefully packed and still frozen from the dry ice. As soon as I opened the bags, she is sniffing around the kitchen. I thawed out the food and microwaved it for a few seconds. She cleaned her plate and kept licking it. • I am completely amazed!

    By on

My American Bully Niko is the most pickiest eater ever! The trouble and money I have gone through can't even be expressed. Well I just received my package and it seemed as if couldn't wait for it to deforst! Lol I mixed it with a little of his prior food and he went to town. Ate everything and even wanted seconds! I'm in utter shock right now. He seem to have a little energy rush I've never seen him have after eating a meal. Let's see how this goes..

  • So Satisfied!

    By on

This human-grade dog food fits the bill for my digestive sensitive puppy! She's not a fussy eater, but her poor belly just had a difficult time processing other foods. This is the one that worked best and we are not going to change it now! She likes the beef and we mix it with our own home-made food as well. I highly recommend this!

  • Real Human Grade Food

    By on

Unlike some brands that advertise their pet food as "Human Grade," Tylee's Beef Recipe really is. Any time a human grade product is mixed with something that isn't, even that human grade ingredient ceases to be as advertised. I was very pleased to read all the ingredients and found only healthy, human grade food in this bag. My 57 pound bully mix absolutely loves it. The only thing I wonder is why there is so much powdery substance in the bag. Maybe chewie.com will answer that question for us all.
