I make my own dog food and started buying this to keep on hand in case I do not have time to make food or go on vacation. Here is what I find weird about this food - the serving suggestion on the bag is the same amount that I have always fed my dogs, but they are still hungry after eating a serving of this. They lick the plate, under the plate, sniff around and then bother me again for food a little while later. It gets really expensive if you have to feed your dog twice the serving suggestion. Also, my golden retriever eats a lot of grass when I feed him this. I realize my review sounds dismal, but I will not give my dog kibble and this seems to be my best bet so far.

  • Great Human-grade Food

    By on

My 15 year old Doxie loves it! It looks and smells appetizing, has great human grade Whole Foods, and stays frozen fresh till I am ready to use it. He has had sensitivities to a lot of foods, but has done very well on this and coat and general health have been great on it. It comes incredibly packed in a strong cardboard box with thick styrofoam lining and plenty of dry ice, enough to keep it frozen for a couple of days if you do not open it! Can not say enough good about this food and the handling and quick delivery by Chewy.

  • My dogs love it!

    By on

I have three seniors and they love Tylees. They've tried the turkey and the beef and both seem to agree with them. I'd give Tylee's a 5 star if it wasn't so expensive. Nevertheless, I understand why it costs so much and I mix it with high quality kibble to make it go a little further. Nothing but the best for my babies! Chewy.com...love you guys! Always timely and great selections. Thank You!

  • All dogs approve

    By on

All three of my dogs love this food. I usually feed high quality kibble, but this was buy one get one, so I thought I'd give it a try. My 14 + year old large mixed breed is usually a picky eater. He loves this. He even seems to be a little friskier than usual after eating this for a couple weeks. It was shipped with dry ice and was still frozen when delivered, so no worries there.

  • It's a Hit!

    By on

My Bichon will go without eating if she's not happy with her food but she absolutely loves Tylee's Human-Grade Dog Food. I have always felt guilty giving her food that didn't look appetizing, but now she comes running and happily looking for more . It came packaged nicely and still frozen with the dry ice, clear instructions and a measuring cup. Makes me happy giving her this great product!

  • Decent food

    By on Top 100 Contributor

I tried this out as a mixer for my 5 Bullies and 1 Chihuahua. They weren't crazy about it, but ate it mixed in with their raw food. There are definitely a LOT of fruits and veggies in this food which none of my 6 found too appetizing. I wouldn't feed this as a main diet, but It's a good/quick mixer to throw in when I don't have time to prep their meals. Seems to be decent quality and the two for one deal is unbeatable.

  • Frozen food arrived thawed

    By on

I love love Chewy. However, i was really disappointed when the frozen food really well packaged was, unfortunately, already thawing and had to be used right away. Since it was 2 for 1. I didnt complain, but could only use one bag and threw away the second bag, could not re-freeze and the one bag lasted for ten days (introduction) small portions. But the food looks and smells great and my little yorkie loves it. My only issue, that will prevent me from reordering is that it is not frozen when it arrives. It is still very cold, but needs to be served within the next days.

  • My dogs refused to eat it!

    By on

I have been offering the Tylee's to my two Dogs for more than a week now. I have mixed a small amount as recommended with their dry food. They just walk off from It . I have to get out their regular dry dog food alone then they eat. I am going to continue to offer it to them for another week, then I don't think there is any reason to continue .

  • Thrilled With This Food

    By on

I have a dog with several serious health issues. He has acute pancreatitis, kidney disease and allergies. Plus he is super picky. This food has literally saved us. Since starting this food he has had no pancreatitis flare ups, his kidney levels are evening out, and he absolutely loves it!!

  • My Dogs Refuse to Eat Tylee's

    By on

Neither of my dogs would eat this product once I thawed it. I can't blame them because it has an odd plastic-like smell. It could just be my dogs being picky, but I've never had them turn down wet food before. With that being said, I was very satisfied with Chewy's delivery of a frozen product with the dry ice.
