Description

UltiCare Insulin Syringes U-100 29 G x 0.5-in are used for the injection of U-100 (100 units per ml) insulin in pets with diabetes. However, it’s important to note that more than one concentration of insulin exists, so be sure that the syringe used matches the type of insulin prescribed for your pet.

Uses

Syringes are primarily used to administer insulin to dogs and cats.

Precautions

Used sharps should be immediately placed in a sharps disposal container. FDA-cleared sharps containers are generally available through pharmacies, medical supply companies, health care providers and online. These containers are made of puncture-resistant plastic with leak-resistant sides and bottom. They also have a tight fitting, puncture-resistant lid. If an FDA-cleared container is not available a heavy-duty plastic household container, such as a laundry detergent container can be used as an alternative.

    Good syringes - good price

    By on

These are very well priced and reliable syringes. We use them for our diabetic dog and he doesn't mind them....to much. These are the same syringes you can buy at a big box store, just a bit cheaper & without the hassle of waiting in line at the pharmacy.

    Very happy with UltiCare syringes!

    By on

I am a retired RN, my dog has diabetes and I have been purchasing her syringes from other stores. I have had difficulty finding any with markings for odd numbered units - like 5 etc. The last ones that I had purchased had plungers that pulled back so hard. I have felt like it has been a guessing game when I need an odd number of units and the syringe markings start @ 10, then 20 etc. The UltiCare brand make drawing up her insulin much more accurate!!

Not for me or my cat

    By on

I very much did not like the insulin needles I had a hard time giving my cat his insulin with these needles I feel like these needles are a lot more dull then the ones I've used in the past while these are a bit cheaper just not worth it for me something that's already not easy for a cat to have to deal with makes it a lot harder when it's a needle that is not very sharp not at all compared to the ones I've used before and while it is 829 gauge instead of a 28 is what I would normally use it looks to be twice the size and thickness of the 28 gauge it was also my mistake upon getting the 29 I thought it was a 28 still twice the size when I compared the new needle to his old needles

    Super easy and delicate

    By on

Our cat only needs 1 unit of insulin and so it's great to have a syringe with 1 unit markings. The needle is very fine and sharp - we inject her while she's eating and actually don't know if she even feels it.

    For diabetic dogs

    By on

My local source for syringes disappeared, so I knew exactly where to go... chewey.com. I was so impressed with the vetting process their pharmacy went through, including contacting our vet. And now I have the peace of mind that this product will always be available to us.

Very easy to use on my doggy who is diabetic. These needles are far superior to the needles I received from the Vet.

    Good product, good price

Changed to these syringes for our dog's insulin after encountering poor customer service through another supplier. As usual, Chewy comes through with a fine product and excellent customer service.

Not the best we have ever used

    By on

These syringes were purchased to give our kitty B12 shots. Price was good for these syringes, but the quality is lacking. We have to be very careful when filling the syringe so that the needle does not bend. Have purchased insulin syringes elsewhere in the past and didn't have this problem.
