Insulin Syringes/Needles U-100 29 Gauge x 0.5-in are prescribed by your vet for the injection of U-100 (100 units per ml) insulin to treat your pet's diabetes. However, it’s important to note that more than one concentration of insulin exists, so be sure that the syringe used matches the type of insulin prescribed for your pet. These insulin syringes also come with a sharps container for proper disposal of syringes.
UsesSyringes are primarily used to administer insulin to dogs and cats.
Precautions
Used sharps should be immediately placed in a sharps disposal container. FDA-cleared sharps containers are generally available through pharmacies, medical supply companies, health care providers and online. These containers are made of puncture-resistant plastic with leak-resistant sides and bottom. They also have a tight fitting, puncture-resistant lid. If an FDA-cleared container is not available a heavy-duty plastic household container, such as a laundry detergent container can be used as an alternative.

How does this product work?
U-100 syringes are used to administer insulin to diabetic dogs and cats. This syringe size is compatible with Humulin N insulin. You should not administer insulin injections until you have been trained by a veterinary professional to give them correctly. It is important that you are using the correct insulin syringe for the specific type of insulin your pet requires. An incorrect syringe size can result in incorrect dosing. U-100 syringes require a veterinary prescription. All insulin syringes should be properly discarded in a sharps container and should not be thrown away in the trash.

Check the syringe first
By Loonies on Dec 5, 2020
The syringes come individually packed and have a dispenser to toss them out which is great. However I have found that some of the syringes do not work where the insulin would spill out from the sides so test the syringe first before using.

great package— not so great needle
By Colleen on Nov 6, 2019
I love this package! So convenient with the build in sharps container, however I was less than impressed with the needles. I’m used the kind from the pharmacy and these seemed lower quality and liked they “stuck” when injecting, like I had to push down harder on the top. If for some reason I couldn’t get to the pharmacy I would order these, chewy is great but I like the ones I have now better for my cat.

High quality
By Jenny on Dec 15, 2019
We have tried multiple containers for disposing our cat's syringes. This one is the best one! It stores the unused syringes as well as the used ones. The quality is also very sturdy and very safe to use.
