Insulin Syringes/Needles U-40 29 Gauge x 0.5-in 1/2 inch unit markings are used for the injection of U-40 (40 units per ml) insulin in pets with diabetes. However, it’s important to note that more than one concentration of insulin exists, so be sure that the syringe used matches the type of insulin prescribed for your pet. These insulin syringes also come with a sharps container for proper disposal.
UsesSyringes are primarily used to administer insulin to dogs and cats.
Precautions
Used sharps should be immediately placed in a sharps disposal container. FDA-cleared sharps containers are generally available through pharmacies, medical supply companies, health care providers and online. These containers are made of puncture-resistant plastic with leak-resistant sides and bottom. They also have a tight fitting, puncture-resistant lid. If an FDA-cleared container is not available a heavy-duty plastic household container, such as a laundry detergent container can be used as an alternative.

By Heresjulian on Aug 20, 2020
I tried 3 Pharmacies and nothing. Chewy walked me through which one to get by phone and even found a more affordable option. My dog doesn’t even feel the injections. Love this

Highly recommended syringes
By CR01773 on Nov 21, 2019
These syringes are sturdy and well marked. As a pet owner whose dog was recently diagnosed with diabetes, these make injections and proper needle disposal easy and carefree. We are still trying to regulate our dog’s sugar so this is one less thing to worry about.
