Description

Get the most out of your cat litter with Ultra Micro Crystals Cat Litter. Made with sand-like silica gel crystals, which are a naturally occurring mineral made of water, sand, and oxygen, it offers superior moisture and odor-trapping qualities. In fact, it absorbs urine instantly and leaves litter dry to the touch—which in turn provides maximum odor control. And since the moisture then evaporates, the crystals can be raked and used over and over again for up to a month, making this an earth-friendly options as well. Totally non-toxic and safe for cats, it’s soft on the paws and cuts down on tracking.

Key Benefits
  • Silica gel cat litter offers maximum odor control and leaves litter dry to the touch.
  • Absorptive surface with thousands of mini-channels provide superior liquid absorption.
  • Dries solid waste and absorbs urine instantly for maximum odor control.
  • Water evaporates so crystals can be reused up to a month, offering 70% less landfill waste than clay.
  • One bag is enough for one cat for one month.
Precautions

Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii—a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.

It may even be best to incorporate some clumps of waste or used litter from the currently used box during the first couple days. A 50% new on bottom / 50% old on top mix best for the first month gradually stirring the litters to mix and let the cat get used to the texture and sounds of the new litter. By the time you get to the start of month 2 the silica gel litter should be the only litter in the box with complete cat acceptance. You may also find it helpful to place the cat in the box after changing to pearls and comfort them into trying the texture and sound. Pearls may have more sound as they shift as the cat walks.

Odor Control Great BUT *Horrible* Dust/Tracking

    By on

We got this litter so that we could see the color of our cat's pee. He had a urinary blockage (thankfully okay now) and we needed to monitor the blood in his urine. He uses it fine, but it is literally tracked through our entire apartment. Also, pouring out the bag and day to day sifting causes this huge plume of dust. I actually put an air purifier in the litter box room purely because of this litter, and the pre-filter is covered in dust overnight. I cough when scooping the box. I'm trying out a different brand to see if the dust is better (Dr. Elsey's respiratory relief). All in all-it *is* good for odor control and easy, lightweight scooping (you can kind of scoop light pee clumps out We got this litter so that we could see the color of our cat's pee. Almost as good as Pretty Litter

    By on

I bought this litter to mix with Pretty Litter to stretch the Pretty Litter further because it's more expensive. The consistency is almost the same as Pretty Litter. Of course it doesn't change colors but I don't care so much about that. The only complaint I have is that it Ultra Micro Crystals is dusty when you're pouring it into the litter box, whereas Pretty Litter is not.

    Less Litter Tracking

    By on

So far, I like it, and so does my cat. I keep two boxes - one with traditional litter, and one with Ultra. May cat seems to use the box with traditional litter for #2 and the box with Ultra for #1 (she's weird like that). As long as you stir up the crystals once a day to distribute the urine, odor control has not been an issue. And, there is much less litter trackage throughout the house. My cat is big - a Maine Coon - so I get about 3 weeks use out of a 5lb bag before it needs changing.

    Magic crystals!

    By on

The granules are so very tiny. It is nice that they actually cover and surround the poop. Larger Crystal's dont do that. My problem is that I am working with new kittens with loose stools. They get the granules stuck to them too easily. I had to try larger granules. My other cats are having luck with this, but are kind of used to the feel of their other litter.

    Sharply Dusty

    By on

There was a crazy amount of fine dust that hurt to breathe. The cat started sneezing again. The litter that tracked hurt to step on. It absorbs well and wasnt too stinky. I will never buy this type of litter again. It hurt to breathe! That was messed up.

Very fine litter! Soft on paws, works great!

    By on

I have a boy kitty with very wiggly loose paws, and he's VERY sensitive to litter in his box. He doesn't like pebbly cat litter at all. I think it's at least uncomfortable, perhaps even hurts his feet. I knew that might be an issue, so tried this brand. He loves the smaller grain litter under his feet, I love the crystal litter because it absorbs urine into it's tubular structure, keeping the box cleaner and healthier for my cats, and my family, and it lasts longer than other litters, by far! Just scoop the poop and when you see it turning a slightly dingy yellow, or any liquid at the bottom, change the box! Better Than Fresh Steps

    By on

I have been using the Fresh Steps crystal litter because it was the top rated, but I noticed that it has some sharp pieces in there and it wasn’t as soft on my kitties’ feet. They would use it, but weren’t super thrilled. This litter is much softer!! It’s more of a sand texture and I can already tell my cats much prefer this one because there’s more waste in it than the Fresh Steps one I still have out. I will say though, it’s a little dustier than the Fresh Steps, but my cats still seem to prefer it way more. I’ve only put it out for about a week, but so far the scent control is good! We will see how long it lasts. I saw some reviews complain about the size of the bag and it’s definitely I have been using the Fresh Steps crystal litter because it was the top rated, but I noticed that it has some sharp pieces in there and it wasn’t as soft on my kitties’ feet. I have 3 cats and 4 litter boxes out, so I would have to buy 4 bags a month. But that still comes out cheaper than other litters, such as Pretty Litter (which I was going to try until I found this one). … more

    Works just like they claim

Have used this litter for about two weeks in the litter boxes. No odor yet and the kitty did not mind the change.

    One bag isn't enough

    By on

Decent stuff but one bag is too little litter for a standard catbox. Also, the urine falls to the bottom with nothing sticking to it making it difficult to clean out. Still looking for a replacement for World's Best Cat Litter which becomes dust in a week!

    Awful awful awful

    By on

This is worse than anything I’ve ever tried. It tracks AND SMELLS worse than any litter I’ve ever used. When it’s wet, it turns into a cement-like substance that I actually had to aggressively scrape off the side of the litter box. It also clogged the little openings of the scoop with a very sticky gross substance. I immediately threw this garbage out after less than 2 weeks. There’s an immediate improvement in smell, and the cats are much happier.
