    Always looking for the best litter that works for my tribe, I tried Litter Pearls Micro. It doesn't track like the larger crystals do, and the odor control is great. My cats still fling it far and wide when they dig swimming-pool-sized holes in the litter (havent found any that stand up to diggers Always looking for the best litter that works for my tribe, I tried Litter Pearls Micro. My cats still fling it far and wide when they dig swimming-pool-sized holes in the litter (havent found any that stand up to diggers), but its easy to vacuum up or sweep. My only hesitation about this litter is how fine it is. I worry that the cats will ingest it as they lick their paws. Its very fine and could easily be ingested. Still searching for the best litter. … more

    Moving to plant-based litter...

    This litter tracks a lot of particles outside of the box. Although easy to scoop, my cat reeked of litter when she jumped onto my bed right after using it. I had to use a pet hygiene wipe to clean that smell off. It dawned on me that she is smelling like used litter dust every time she is in that box This litter tracks a lot of particles outside of the box. Although easy to scoop, my cat reeked of litter when she jumped onto my bed right after using it. I had to use a pet hygiene wipe to clean that smell off. It dawned on me that she is smelling like used litter dust every time she is in that box. So imagine what she is breathing in! I then researched silica and other types of litter. Sure enough, the litter dust is harmful over time. I bought Tofu Litter that clumps. Will try that. My other litter box is the Breeze system with the urine pads. Kitty kicks those huge clay litter chunks everywhere, but at least there is no litter dust or stinky used litter smell. … more
